    I've never heard of it.

I tried coke flavoured jelly once, but I wasn't too impressed.

The calories for the Cracker Barrel Coca-Cola cake are nearly 800 calories for just one slice, which is almost half of what someone should eat in a day.  That's scary.

You can use a can of diet coke instead of the other ingredients with most store-bought cake mixes.  Dee-lish!  Of course, I am a diet coke fiend.

"Dee-lish!  Of course, I am a diet coke fiend." I don't know hadn't you heard, they say diet drinks will kill you.

Not sure how to respond to that.  Lots of things will kill you, in large doses, and I can name a long list of that have actually been proven to do so (as opposed to diet coke, which no scientific studies have indicated is fatal).  Refined sugar, saturated fat, pollution, alcohol... You can even die from drinking too much water.

I have done extensive time without many of these things (obviously not water) in order to see whether or not they made an impact on my health.  In my personal experience, diet coke has no impact whatsoever, and I think it's delicious.  There are many other habits that better deserve my time and attention.

But the Snopes article says that the claim of dangers is false.

However, some people are extra sensitive to aspartame.

I don't know what to tell you, other than to reiterate that you don't know me or my personal history well enough to tell me what my health priorities ought to be.  Sorry to be so blunt, but I don't think we should continue this conversation here.  I ban people for thread hijacking, I'd hate to have to ban myself.

She said that she knows the health risks, that is all that needs to be said.

I smoke 20 fags a day, that is a health risk, we all make our own decisions in life and seldom do we need somebody else to make them for us smile

And besides, the only major risk is aspartame as it happens to be a carcinogenic. If you want to avoid carcinogenic compounds then you had better find yourself a plot of land in the middle of nowhere, grow your own truly organic food, raise your own cattle and never eat at restaurants.

There happens to be some of the highest levels of hexavalent chromium in water around the Bay Area too, perhaps you should stop drinking tap water? That is, just like aspartame, a cancinogenic.

A "fag" in the UK, by the way, is very different to a "fag" in the US... as I found out a few years ago when saying "can i buy a fag off of you" in an American bar.

Hysterical laughter...don't try to bum any more fags, Ryan!  Could we all just lighten up around here?  Anything in moderation is fine...including Coca Cola cake and Diet Coke!  So chill, people!
