Please take Pcunix's advice seriously. Spend a few days learning about HubPages.

Read the Hubs of other writers.

      Good luck...

Do you not understand those warnings?  We can't see your hub, but the warnings seem plain: you apparently have copied some or all of your hub from somewhere else AND it contains too many links to another site.

Isn't that what the messages say?

  3. blueislandinfo profile image60

But why it's my content? why can't I use my own content?

It's not like I copied somebody else all I did was copy myself?

You CAN post dupes of your own stuff here, but HP is going to flag it every time.

The warning is also for excessive links.  You are only allowed 2 to the same site.

How many staff people are working right now and how many other hubbers have asked for email help just now?

As we know the answer to neither of those, how could we guess?

the general ? was how long does it usually take for them to get back to issues.

thanks Univited Writer for some great help.

What does these numbers mean on our picture?

That's your hubber score.  You expect it to be low until you publish some hubs.

Have you read through the Learning Center articles?  You should do that while waiting for your answer.

If you take note of what the hub team tell you, they aere usually right and you do learn how to improve your content. I know, I get touchy at first when they flag something, yet later Im pleased, because I see what errors Ive made and my hub always ends up vastly improved by their editorial input!

so how can they be right? it was more than likely some computer that said duplicate. This place doesn't seem to make it easy to publish a page.

My content is fine that i spent two hours figuring this system out

Just a pain and now all this extra work

They should pay me for my time and extra work there site is creating

    My viewpoint

Truly this is an easy site to publish on, and if your only aim is to promote your own site/business elsewhere, and therefore take traffic away from Hubpages, you are of course not really adding anything of value to the site, which after all is essentially offering you a free medium to publish your work on. If you prove to hubpages you only copied your OWN work on here they will issue you an exemption to the duplicate content penalty and allow your hub to remain published.

In my experience the Hub Team usually reply to emails within 24 hours if that helps.

can u buy sell and trade hub pages? like other sites like this do?

Not really sure what you mean by your question. Do you mean can you buy, trade and sell ON Hubpages, or do you mean something else like actually selling on an article you wrote on hubpages?

You own copyright to your own writings here, so you could sell your text on, but of course not the Hubpage itself, only the content, and that is down to you.

You could sell your own product if you linked to your own site in a hub links capsule or within the text, but any more than 2 links to your site will cause your hub to be flagged as overly promotional. Also if you link to the same site over multiple hubs you will be penalised.

You can sell products for Amazon, Ebay, Clickbank etc, (in the case of Clickbank maximum of two links per hub), but in the case of Amazon and Ebay you will need to sign up with them in order to get an affiliate code to enter on your hubpage profile in the affiliates section. I believe Ebay are not currently taking on new affiliates, but Amazon would be okay. You will most likely be best off concentrating on signing up with Adsense so you generate earnings from the Google Adsense adverts that appear automatically on each hub after you publish it.

The advice you have been given to read the learning centre is good advice and covers all of this in much more detail. Many hubbers have also written excellent hubs for newbies to learn from if you search for them. Mark Knowles is a pretty good place to start, although there are many more.

okay, this thread got a little long, but lets summarize some of this.

You can post duplicate content on hubpages but it will significantly lower your score, this means no follow links.  Also you will notice only an original article regularly makes it to the top of good for keywords.  Duplicate content is next to useless in my eyes, and to re-inforce that statement you might want to read up on some of Googles latest press releases on what they do to sites that host a lot of duplicate content, and how they are going to devalue it in serps.

Overly promotional = You can only have two outbound links to any one domain.

As to buying, selling, trading articles, you might be surprised to find that very few sites allow that, especially not the high quality article directories. The closest you can really get is by private contact with others, removing hubs, and then re-uploading them.

I think you should take PCUni's advice and read some of the info on the learning center http://learningcenter.hubpages.com/

Hubpages is not complicated, but you do need to follow the rules, and those rules make this site as profitable as it is.
