Google Not Spotting My Hubs

   Usually when I write a hub I start getting page views from Google within 24 hours, I;ve had the odd article that's taken a little longer.
   In the last 4 days though none of my hubs have been picked up by Google.  It's very frustrating as I am losing a great deal of traffic due to this.  Anyone else having this problem or no why it's happening?

      This is what I posted a little while ago on another similar question:
      
      "Google switched on a pretty major (for them, although it will only affect position in 0.5% of searches) algorithm change on the 30th January. They are slowly rolling it out, so the search has been recalculating positions for a lot of sites.
      
      I have noticed a distinct reduction in indexing speed on a lot of sites I post to.
      
      I think in a few days, when they have finished, you will see indexing speeds coming back up."

         Wow! Well that explains a few things! I did know google were planning on this change but not that they had implemented it.
         A few of my hubs have suddenly moved up to #1 position, while my solitary quotes hub (copied content, obviously) has moved right down. Even better, the hubber who held the #1 position with a badly laid out copied content hub based around similar keywords has dropped right down too. All this guy's work is copied content across his 1000+ hubs!
         Good old Google!

         Well, well…
         
         I have had a hub that has been a corpse forever.
         
         It is now suddenly getting some single-digit traffic.
         
         I’m hoping it’s the new algorithm finally recognizing the awesomeness of this hub.

      If you want fast indexing, consider looking at the igoogle blog. Since that's Google's baby, articles posted there seem to index in 24 hours or less.
      
      You could write a short notice on igoogle and then link to your hub.
      That might solve your problem.
      
      I know that other people having trouble getting indexed find that the igoogle strategy works.

   I had a hub that took about eleven months to get one Google view; I have other hubs that haven gotten 500 hits from search engines in the first day. It can vary widely, no matter your keyword research and promotion.

      It's nothing to do with getting hits, the articles simply are not on Google.  When you type in the full name of your hub and then add 'hubpages' on to the end, it will always show up in the first few results.  Unless of course they have not indexed it.

         Well I've just checked my hubs, one of the five missing hubs has appeared on Google, that's a relief.  Hopefully the other will start to follow now.

            I posted a very similar thread yesterday http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/66567 on the same subject. None of my hubs have been listed since January 30th. Today one of my hubs has appeared in Google and then I check back and it's gone.. This has happened several times. Google is obviously doing a major algorithm page.  Lets hope us hubbers get treated well!

               Well ive just looked and the one that had appeared has now vanished!  Is hurting my traffic stats, I hope they get it sorted soon!

   How do you know it's hurting your traffic stats? You cannot possibly know in advance how well your hub can compete against its competition.
   No matter how well earlier hubs have have done, you may just have hit lucky. The days of guaranteed success are long gone.

      Nah, I disagree with that.  I know what to write and when to write it, I can write a few hubs and pull in large views in the first few days.  The problems is those views only last a week or so they die right down, so not getting hubs published when I write them is hurting my stats.

   I've thought a bit more about your situation.
   You are used to your hubs seeing lots of views shortly after publication.
   This suggest you are are receiving Google love in that they rank new material highly - especially when that new material hits the spot, so to speak. (the right keywords etc)
   If your hubs are not being indexed as quickly as normal due to the latest Google change, you have not lost views per se.
   Your views are just delayed, so relax.
   Personally I am quite jealous of folk who get all that Google love at the start. My hubs seldom do.
   Well-targetted hubs in highly searched keyword terms can expect high traffic volumes to start of with.
   Within a week or two they will drop in the rankings, with a resultant drop in visitors, but they will come back up again in time.

      About half my hubs are on things there is a sudden demand for, that demand dies after about a week.  So if they are not released soon after publishing they miss all the views. 
      
      After 8 weeks i've made it up to 75,000 views, so I kinda know a little bit of what I'm talking about.
      
      Unfortunately this is the only neat trick I have learned so far, as far as evergreen hubs that will pull in readers long into the future, well I'm still very much a newbie in that regard, haha.

   Well you are doing something right!
   I still think you haven't lost views if google hasn't indexed unless your article is about a specific football game or something equally not evergreen.
   If it is about a football game then I agree you have lost the views.
   Sorry forgive me, I didn't look to see. I hate football.

      Haha, no they are not about football.  Don;t worry about it, as long as this is just a blip from google and it's not a sign of things to come.  If it is then I will have to rethink my stategy and the next 75,000 may be a bit more hard to come by.
