   some say jesus was born in 4BCE some say 4CE.
   gospel mark say he was born in galilee, mathew say in judea
   any one know?

      If we do the math working backwards, the year now is 2011 AD. (Anno Domini)(After Death). It is believed that Jesus died, was crucified at the age of 33 which would mean he was born 2044 years ago or 44BC.
      He was born in the town of Bethlehem but Joseph his earthly father was from Nazareth, where they made their home.

            Actually Dave is right. Recent archeological discoveries confirm a village about the size the Nazareth referenced in the scriptures would have been, in the vicinity it was believed to be. They have also found evidence it was indeed called Nazareth. Kind of like there's a town of the same name in every state. You were looking at the wrong town when you made that statement.

                  Another one. It was bigger and better, but the story I heard was that they knew, from the beginning, that their legacy would always be overshadowed by the fact that the smaller town had a claim to fame inasmuch as it was the birthplace of the One.  So they tried to wipe any evidence of it's existence from the earth. It is simply by the Grace of God that we have finally recovered the truth.
                  
                  I'm sorry. That's the explanation to another story. My bad. The truth is it's simply another town by the same name.

               Sure, they found pottery and ceramics dating back to the Bronze age many centuries before the alleged Christ. The problem is that all of those towns and villages were destroyed by the Assyrians in 720 BC.

                     Sorry, but when biblical claims are researched and found to be wanting, we can discard the claims as such and begin to understand the bible cannot be taken seriously, but instead should receive equal airtime alongside that of fables and myths.
