    Uneasiness lurks in the silence,
and impromptu activities bring about a fear.
I often float away from reality,
a feeling that i just cannot bear.

    When in quiet surroundings,
i often drift to a different world.
    A world of silence,
    a kingdom of its own..

    The mind releases itself,
as if its ready to be taught.
    It ponders over the present,
    soothed by the unhurried thoughts.

    My momentum, my energy
    resists this untouched silence.
So used to the hustle & bustle,
it tries to break the shackles.

    But soon, this reticence
becomes a part of my present tense.
    The inside turbulence calms down,
& frees itself to the pull of silence.

My mind skids off to a peaceful world,
a world of its thoughts, originality.
The diplomatic skin is peeled off,
& the rusted creativity comes back to sanity.

With the no holds barred signs on,
    the mind often
    despises the wrong,
    replays its fantasies,
    caresses its dreams.

    Courage is re-born,
& commitments take a back seat.
Loitering around a boulevard of choice,
the mind challenges every possible feat.

    But everything is temporary.
    soon, a source of noise
    will break the silence.
& i'll accelerate to the old arena.
I'll again wear the diplomacy cloak &
break free from what i call as the

You are right a quiet surrounding is necessary to know yourself. The exposure of mind is possible only when you are in the silence of your kingdom. Your expression
      “When in quiet surroundings,
i often drift to a different world.
      A world of silence,
      a kingdom of its own..

      The mind releases itself,
as if its ready to be taught. “ – is fantastic.
