Is anyone else  having HubTeam yaking their hubs siting violation of terms?   They yaked 4 of mine in the last 48 hours which have been posted for months.  What the heck is going on?

I have not been hit for as many as you but I did write a hub about all the A--'S in your life and no matter how I cleaned it up, it was still flagged

Maybe your unwanted follower flagged them?

But if somebody flags a hub is it necessary that that hub is removed or ads disabled or does the moderator use his/her judgement

All that flagging does is bring a Hub to the moderator's attention. It's entirely the moderator's decision whether or not to take any action.

And that is subjective. I mean it depends on the moderators. One moderator's view might differ from another moderators view.
          Right?

There are only a few moderators on staff, and we are in constant conversation to ensure the most consistent enforcement of the rules possible.

Yes . We know and appreciate your work. A mods job is tough . Been there done that. The forum was not as big HP but neither was it small.

Not sure what kind of answer you're looking for, and I certainly don't know the specifics of your hubs that were pulled. But if they violated any of HP's TOS, not quite sure it makes a difference if they were published for one day or one year.

Do you know why they pulled them?

is it something to do with the number of links you put on your hub?
just a thought? when i read your hub on the pretty purse with mens ties i noticed there were at least four out going links - not sure that is ok?
why dont yu e mail them and ask-

That hub was not pulled, at least not so far.  But after 4 in 48 hours I am wondering which one may be next.  sad

Thousands of Hubs are published every day, so sometimes rules violations do not come to our attention right away.  You can always email us if you're confused about why your Hubs were moderated.

When viewing the hub/s in question, click on the green warning link and you'll get some more information on why the hub was pulled. You can narrow it down a lot easier that way.

After reading your hub on Buckwheat I can't see any glaring problems - but that doesn't mean they aren't there. I will say that the photos are too large and pixelated and the writing has quite a few spelling and grammatical errors. Those issues don't always force a hub to be unpublished but if the team feels the hub is poor enough quality it may be the reason.

If you're still not sure after checking the warning, please contact the team directly instead of playing random guessing games.

i have been in contact with the HUBTeam by replying to their emails about these Hubs.  I can't find the terms of use on the home page that they say I am in violation of on these hubs.  I have asked them to send me a link to the terms.  I have also done a search under the help button, can someone post a link to the Terms that I am apparently in violation of?   Getting pretty frustrated here  sad

Only the Team knows what violations are the issue, and they don't frequently discuss that here on the forum.

Some of the most common violations that lead hubs to become unpublished are:
      - Overly promotional
      - Substandard
      - Excessive or deceptive tags
      - Copyright violations.

I recommend you read the FAQs on these matters, available from the Help menu.

Here is the link to the Terms of Service that you accepted upon creating your account: http://hubpages.com/help/user_agreement

thank you for the link Website Examiner.   they don't identify what exactly is wrong in an email to me either,  I have read the FAQ's in the help menu and now the Terms of Use and it is becoming a guessing game as to what is wrong with this latest Hub.  I put it back through spell check and found some  other spelling errors.  Removed another photo and resubmitted it sigh.......

That is where to find the specific reason for unpublishing on the hub.

Yep,   this is what it says  >>

Substandard Quality: This Hub does not conform to the HubPages community standard of quality.
This hub has been submitted for publication, and will be published once it has been reviewed by the administrator.

In that case your answer lies here:

              http://hubpages.com/faq/#substandard

Some parts that I believe would be likely reasons on the Buckwheat hub at least:

*Use of photos that are heavily pixelated or contain prominent watermarks
*Poorly-written content that is difficult to read or understand to the average reader

writinginalaskaposted 13 years agoin reply to this

i removed two of the photographs already. If i remove the third one there will be no photos left in the hub,  making it pretty boring in my opinion.  I do not think it is poorly written or difficult to understand and apparently either do the people that left me feedback.  Have you read it yet?

                1. WryLilt profile image88
WryLiltposted 13 years agoin reply to this

I read the buckwheat one, as I said. Since it's unpublished it's only accessible through a cached copy, so I can't see any changes you've made since it was unpublished.

You don't need to remove the photos - just press the green right arrow at the top of the photo capsule to move it to the right and make it smaller, thus removing the pix-elation.

The hub writing appears unprofessional - for instance your list could be done with bullet points and you use the word Russian instead of Russia. There are other mistakes as well both grammatically and spelling wise.

Well, it must have finally passed the mustard because they just republished it. In all this I have learned a few new things.  So thanks everyone for your help.  Hopefully all my other Hubs are ok and meet the standards.

WritingAlaska did you follow my advice to narrow it down and click on the warning link in the hub itself?

How can you not find a link (it's labeled "terms of use") that is on every single page of this website?
