Question about my older hubs.

I don't know how to ask this question.

I have two hubs titled "Monsters: What scares you." They are both getting very little traffic. So, I have been worried that the title of the hub might not match what the hub is about, and people might be thrown off or not satisfied with the content.

Should I change the hub title? If so, what should I change it to that would draw more people to them? I'm beginning to wonder if I should just scrap them, and write hubs about more popular subjects.

Most of my other hubs are doing very well. My newest hub has really taken off with over 1,100 views in just 2 months! I just wish my income from those hubs would rise too.

Any critic is welcome to respond.

I have checked out this hub http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Write-Original-Content and if you can truly do what you are writing about, then I think you will be on the right path. The key to getting traffic to you low performing hubs is doing keyword research and analysis. For keyword research you can use tools like Keyword Elite and Wordtracker. These tools give you plenty of useful information on keywords that have high and low traffic. Pick keywords that have high traffic and create original content around them. Make sure to use the keywords in the title of the hub and also in the body text. This way, your hub will be indexed by the Search Engines and your hub can start ranking well in the SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages)

    Two tips:

    Keyword research!

Try changing to a name that resembles something people would type into a search engine. Examples include "Scary monsters" "Top scary monsters" "Monsters that scare me" etc

Thanks. I'll look into my keywords on those hubs, and give it a makeover.

If you were a random person just searching on the internet how would they find your hub? That is what I try to think long and hard about. Then I look for keywords that match it the best.

They both have the same title and you are targeting the same keywords. Targeting the same keywords, especially if they aren't searched for will certainly give you less traffic. I usually like to use a variety of keywords and see what works the best.

Are tags considered keywords? It seems like any word in your hub can be a keyword if someone types it into the google search. What I hate the most about Google search, is the amount of pages that are found that have nothing to do with what you are searching for.

Even if you try the advanced search to weed out those things, by attempting to exclude keywords, those pages still come up that have nothing to do with the subject. So, how do you get around that?
It seems that some sites show up no matter what you are searching for. Makes me wonder if people are paying extra for high rankings in the search engines. Probably why some searches lead to so much porn. Try typing in the word "jock" into search and see what you get.
