      Like I said the last time somebody posted this on here, would you invite somebody that you had never met to your wedding? Obama has yet to meet the royal family, he may have met the Queen, but not the rest of them.
      
      I got married in Vegas last month, should I have invited you? What you also have to appreciate is that Obama is not British-friendly, he doesn't like us all that much.
      
      It is protocol to invite heads of states to the wedding when the first in line to the throne is married, the last time this happened the President of the United States (Reagan) didn't bother to turn up anyway - he sent his wife instead.

   Who really cares about the royal wedding and why?
   A bunch of hoity toity rich people with a cob up their rectal cavity.  They are any more or less special than anyone else.  I'm glad I didn't get an invite.  I hate long services and then you'd have to wait for the reception while they took all those pics.  I'd be starving, start drinking on an empty stomach and then end up making a fool of myself!  Been there done that!

      Damn right. I wouldn't bother. The train takes ages, you've got to get a tube across london that you probably wouldn't get a seat on and the bar's probably just stocked with champagne and caviar, rather than Stella and scratchings.

   in truth, the left will claim that its not a snub, and in the technical sense, it isnt,... but it lookslike a snub to those who arent privy to the technical deffinitions,... therefor,... it becomes a snub wether it was one or not.
   
   all the while the right will scream snub at the top of thier lungs and lement the loss of our standning in the world, decrying mr obamas poor handling,...
   
   however,.... if they had been invited,....
   
   the left would blather endlessly about what dress michele wore,..
   
   and the right would scream about what it cost,...
   
   the point about the blather is that it is just that,... blather.
   
   the endless noise that distracts us from what realy matters,... the classic slight of hand shell game.

      I just found out that the First Lady was present at the marriage of Prince Andrew.
      
      Not a surprise though really, he just doesn't like us. The evidence has mounted up, the gift stuff being the most significant, we gave him some crazy ass stuff when he came over and he gave the Queen an iPod and the Prime Minister some DVDs from Amazon
      
      It cost us $15 million in security the last time he came over, that's a bit of a bum deal, a little like your wife buying you socks for Xmas.

   The Obamas are come to Britain for a full State visit just a few weeks after the wedding, so it would be rather over the top for them to do both. So there is no snub involved.

    I am surprised at their decision to invite the King of Bahrain. Considering Spanish TV news at the moment is full of the bloodshed as troops fire against protesters in Bahrain, Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, Morocco and China.
    People are living in poverty while their leaders are flush with gold and money and sumptuous living.

       Got to keep up with the Jones' I suppose! They've cancelled the Bahrain grand prix today which is a really big deal for the crown prince.
       
       I wrote what I hope was an amusing hub on the unfolding chaos today. I hope it wasn't too inappropriate - it was meant to be a light hearted take on it all.
       
       I hope they overthrow the whole lot of them. The west have propped scum bags like Gadafy up for far too long in the name of "stability".

          Absolutely! He's nothing more than a monkey with a bit of power. I am frankly ashamed to learn that the western nations - and that includes the Uk, America and Spain have given this bampot money and arms while his people starved.
          
          9/11 stirred up a lot of hatred towards the moslem nations, but the people in those countries have been oppressed more than we will ever know.
          
          At least now they are taking their feelings out on the ones that caused their problems, instead of us.
          
          When are we gong to realise that all politicians are positively dangerous?
          
          Their pockets are more important than ours. (Our politicians knew better than us what was going on, and misinformed us).
