I don't get it my profile page used to have a PR of 2 or so - because of the backlinks from hubpages (other hubs, hot hub  pages, tag pages etc) now I have zero and I have lost all the backlinks

    Why would that happen?

This is not an answer to your question, but it's a related question that I think you might be able to answer, Lissie.  Where is everyone getting these numbers?  You said yours used to be 2, but I don't see any numbers at all, just a little elongated rectangle that gets partially filled in.  How do I get more information about my PageRank?

I think the backlinks is the real issue - the PR reflects them - I don't understand how backlinks can disapear though especially all the internal hubpage ones - they still exist for my hubs that have been around for a while (>1 month )

Bump - any ideas Paul or Jason?  Its a bit of a worry really .  Terryg yes you're right that yahoo always shows more backlinks  -but google is really the only one that matters in terms of traffic

I think google just loses data sometimes.  It looks like your traffic from google has remained steady, so I wouldn't worry too much.  The PR and backlinks data will probably come back at some point.
