Hello hubbers, thank you for a great month of financial advice. I know it was a complex subject but you managed to be up to the challenge and produce some very informative hubs on the topic.  Only last week we had 36 hubs on Everyday Personal Finance tips , great work HubMobsters!

This week we are going to relax a bit and we are going to HubMob about a very broad topic that is ever interesting and enjoyable.  This week's topic is "Everything Vintage"

    http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/vv19/wyanjen/HubMob/vintage.jpg

Please notice that being a very broad subject I have categorized it under vintage fashion but you will need to re categorize your hub according to your chosen subtopic.  For example, if you choose to write about vintage cars, you will need to change the category from the start and go back to autos and then select cars and then vintage cars.

Some ideas for Vintage HubMob could be:
    Vintage cars
    Vintage toys
    Vintage fashion
    Vintage decoration
    Vintage homeware
    How to buy vintage ...
    Where to find vintage ...
How to recognize a vintage ...
    Best vintage deals on ...

To enter your Hub in the HubMob please follow the instructions below.

    1.  START YOUR HUB CLICKING THIS LINK.  Choose the "Answer this Question" green button.  Choose the MAKE A HUB ABOUT IT option.

    2. Include the HubMob RSS Feed in your hub: http://hubpages.com/question/103339/hub … intage?rss

    4. Add this week's HubMob graphic http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/vv19 … intage.jpg

    5. [b]Categorize your hub
: Please make sure you categorize your hub according to your chosen topic.

    6. After you publish your Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.

My first HubMob entry is about decorating vintage tooled leather handbags. This was an idea I first saw on the Martha Stewart Show, and I immediately fell in love with it, so I wanted to share it with others.

Ummm... your original post says, "7 days ago,"  today is the 7th of Feb.  When does time limit for entries expire?

It would be most helpful if expiry dates were posted in the topic announcement.

      Thanks ... Liz

No worries Liz!  We have an "open post" policy around here!  Princessa never closes HubMob "questions".  Typically, new topics are released every Monday. But you can continue to write on the previous topic, or any others.  If it was a topic from Jan 2010 to now, just shoot me an email and I will update the HubMob roundup hub with your link/s.  Happy hubbing!

I can't get the rss feed to stay listed on my hub.  When I edit the capsule to add the feed, it shows up fine but when I save the hub it doesn't show up any more and I get a message that the rss feed isn't a valid feed.

Right click on Princessa's link for the feed, and select "copy hyperlink" or "copy shortcut".  The problem happens when you merely click on "copy", so don't do that!

Alternatively, click on Princessa's RSS link, taking you to the RSS feed.  Then copy the address from the navigation bar.

If you need more, Princessa and I have each written "how to" hubs with screen shots.

I can't believe no one has written about vintage cars!  I know, why not me?  I know nothing about the topic except "vintage cars" generally refers to cars 1919 to 1930.  Certainly not the cars that would come to mind for me, which I guess would be "classic cars".  It would take lots of research and brain power. I've been sick all week and will just be happy to get the HubMob roundup done!

I just saw this. Japanese cars are considered classics if they are pre-1985, and the labels vintage and antique simply don't apply to Japanese cars. American antiques--you said "vintage," which doesn't fit in my mind with cars, even though I wrote on it lol--must be older but I won't put a date on it. Classics can be any age once it has been established that they will always be memorable and collectible.

If  I can find it in my mess... I have a vintage 1930's - 40's era plumbing catalog.  It is a hardcover book, but has a color photo centerfold of Art Deco bathroom designs.

Can I use that?  I'd have to scan in the photos, but I've already checked, and the company that produced the catalog is long since out of business, so is it safe to assume any copyrights have also expired after all this time?

(In any case...wouldn't that be considered "excerpts for educational purposes quoted in an article"?)

P.S. What happens if I set it up  (click the link, choose 'make a hub' and then it never happens.  Will I get 50 lashes with a wet noodle?  wink

Sounds like a fun topic.  I have no idea about the copyright stuff, but it does sound pretty favorable in this case.

Any of us can delete any hub at any time.  Personally I always have a pretty complete piece in MS Word, and then copy/paste.  I do this for multiple reasons.  At any rate, I never have a collection of hubs in various stages of completion.

Late to the party as usual, but just published a hub on vintage pillbox hats and the women who wore them because I love how fashion is cyclical and what goes around. The hat made famous by Jackie O  has been out of style for years and is now back bigtime.

Gen Y is bringing back the hat in general and thepillbox in particular-- how cool is that?

This is the first time I've entered a competition on HubPages and hope I've done everything correctly.

I absolutely love the topic of 'vintage' as it covers a whole range of things and being quite the fan of creating my own stuff, I jumped at the chance of sharing some of the things I do that I consider vintage! After checking out some of the other hubs though, I'm not sure if my ideas are way too easy (as my title promotes) and the explanations too short! smile
