I don't think so! Yes we're in trouble but it's not to late to turn things around. We have to get back to what made us exceptional to begin with. The values that made us great like competition, modern science, the rule of law and private property rights, modern medicine, the consumer society and the work ethic need to be restored. We need to eliminate regulations and taxes shrink the burden of government to unleash American innovation and prosperity... that means sacrifice the surrender of the entitlement philosopy and wealth redistribution espoused by the socialist democrats and socialist in chief Obama! We can do this!!
America is great but we do need to make some new choices. Things are getting rough and money is getting very tight. We all need to cut back a bit this includes the government which takes over half our money already. Plus they need to stop printing so much to.
For those of us who are companies we need to stop outsourcing everything and look to bring money back into the country instead of outsourcing it over seas because its a few bucks left.
We as people need to stop buying everything on credit or if we do paying it off on time. Be proud of who you are contribute and make America a country we all enjoy living in. We the people have a voice but actions always speak louder then words.
One way to bring money back here is to cut corporate taxes and eliminate the penalty for bringing foreign earnings back into America. We can all help too by making sure we don't elect democrats!
I actually think we should tax corporations more and the general population less. It's shocking how ordinary people are made to pay for the rich corporations. Do you know what Vodafone's tax bill was last year? $6 billion. Billion! And they were let off. Meanwhile, ordinary people are forced to pay for them.
What you may not realize is corporate taxes are paid by consumers... its in the price of their goods.
By historical records and even leadership phases that countries go through...I have learned that we are in a downhill spiral. It is just part of the way of things. It calls on us to be stronger-to join together more then ever before-to straighten out what has become bent-or put out fires that have been burning. Whatever it is...our new history lies at our doorstep. And maybe that is the ultimate solution. That everyday folks, Like you and I, must pick up the ball and help get it downfield. Maybe, the 'ol showboats just can't get it done any longer...maybe they never could. I think that pride in our country will be the prevailing strength from the heartland, and all three coasts. At least I would like to believe that as the ultimate fall back resolution. I believe in "us"...Americans...I know that for sure. And I have talked to many young Marine volunteers that still do...that is why they still join to serve. I would never want to look at them...in any of their eyes...and say I give up on this country!

There are many millions of people who are born in poverty, live in poverty, die in poverty, and leave their children in poverty. Getting out of poverty by individual effort is theoretically possible, and there are people who have broken out of poverty.A bit of bad luck can derail anyone's plans....

I was doing research for a hub and in the process realized how close we are to being a socialist country, what do you think? Our country has nationalized many industries and if you read the communist manifesto its like watching the news.

One of the greatest criticisms leveled at socialist and perceived socialist nations is their high taxes, usually reinforced with the example of France and it's high tax rates under a newly elected socialist government.Let's examine that claim factually, a quick analysis will prove it false.For...
