I think the trick is (and I'm pretty new here) to keep publishing hubs of value, and they will just turn up smile

joanym I am new but getting fans comes from writing articles that interest someone. I have read both your articles I am not into beauty lords know look at my ugly mug, but I will try to help you since you posted the question.

Both your articles found elsewhere on the net.  The people that use Hub Pages seem to reward people that write informative helpful, interesting and original articles. Now mind you I am not writer by any sense of the means so I can not really help you with how to do that, but thats a start of how to get fans. Another way I think may be to participate in this forum and help others if you can. I have am real new here and have a fan or 2 that have disagreed with me on some of my ideas, but as part of the interaction they became my fans.

As mentioned earlier i didn't copy anyone else material both articles are written by me so no catch and plus i would not copy some else article word for word that does not make sense

Both articles lead to the same URL so how could i have copied some one else's?

Just to make things clear here i didn't copy anyone else's material if you take a close look all this articles lead to one URL  so i wrote both articles in e-how and hubpages no i didn't copy any one else's stuff that is just wrong. Moving forward i wont publish the same stuff different articles for different places so thanks for that.

There are two ways to get fans.

One is to join the fan clubs of other Hubbers.  Some Hubbers will "fan" you right back - in their view, fans are more like friends, and they see it as a friendly thing to do.

That won't work for everyone, though - some people will only become a fan if they like your work (just like fans of movie stars, authors or sports people).  That kind of person is not going to become your fan unless you write interesting, informative articles which are all your own work and which don't appear elsewhere.

I visited your site, and I've seen that you only have 2 hubs as of now.  Just be patient, write more hubs, be visible in forums, and you'll see, fans will come to you. Enjoy hubpages! smile

Hubpages is all about writing good articles and that is what should be your primary objective as suggested by sylvana. Actually this forms the base. There are lot of hubbers who will become your fan if you become his/her fan or if you comment on their Hub. But if your Hub ain't good then even your fans will not visit your hub which ultimately do not make any sense.

Apart writing good Hub you should also make yourself and your Hub popular. For this, read others Hubs and give proper comment, follow the comment and if required comment again. Comment should be genuine so that it makes your fellow hubber feel that you are actually interested in them and their Hub. Also be active on this forum, help other, try to give them good tips.

But the main thing is good quality Hub. As mentioned by Marisa Wright, some people are very particular about who they are fan of. Hence make sure that your Hubs are of good quality. If you have some good hubbers as your fan then there are good chance that people joining their fan club will join your fan club too.

Duplicate content still  may bring a penalty on your hubscore, even when it is yours. Changing the wording a bit in your hub could help you.

Write quality hubs, and those who are interested will find them.  Those people may even become your fan.

To be honest I am more interested in increasing my hub score than getting a fan, as my old gran used to say " fans don't pay yer bills son ", how I miss gran she was my biggest fan.
