   Alan Simpson, Senator from Wyoming , Co-Chair of Obama's deficit commission, calls senior citizens the Greediest Generation as he compared "Social Security" to a Milk Cow with 310 million teats.
   August, 2010.
   
   Here's a response in a letter from a unknown fellow in Montana . I think he is a little ticked off ! He also tells it like it is !
   
   "Hey Alan, let's get a few things straight.
   
   1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole for FIFTY YEARS.
   
   2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63).
   
   3. My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other
   Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero ambition losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would have made Bernie Madoff proud.
   
   4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and your ilk pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age 67. NOW, you and your shill commission is proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN.
   
   5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now you morons propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because you idiots mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal money from Medicare to pay the bills.
   
   6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again. Why?
   Because you incompetent losers spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay off YOUR debt.
   
   To add insult to injury, you label us "greedy" for calling "BS" on your incompetence. Well, Captain BS, I have a few questions for YOU.
   
   1. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year political career?
   
   2. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers?
   
   3. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?
   
   4. What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you
   proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or, as usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies?
   
   It is you, Captain BS, and your political co-conspirators who are "greedy". It is you and they who have bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers. And for what? Votes. That's right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing your pathetic political careers. You know it, we know it, and you know that we know it.
   
   And you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of a b."

         Oly, you mentioned Simpson is the co-chair of the deficit commission. You missed the fact that he's the republican co-chair of the bipartisan commission. It's ironic ,since seniors tend to vote conservative but the liberals are out to fix Social Security. Conservatives want to gut Social Security & Medicare.
         
         We liberals are waiting for moderate/conservatives to realize. When winners rail against socialism and you cheer, it's your retirement and elder care they will abolish.

               Randy, it's not self-evident. Oly has it figured that Simpson & Obama are best buddies. What Simpson said and more importantly, what Simpson would do, is destroy progressive programs like Social Security.
               
               A lot of seniors think Social Security & Medicare are the product of republican governments.  Those programs were opposed by the GOP then and now. Check the Tea Party position on those programs. Check the libertarian position on those programs. The way Seniors are voting reminds me of the Jews in Germany building gas chambers for themselves to die in.
               
               The difference is the Jews knew what they were building and were forced labor. US Seniors are signing up full willing - totally ignorant of how they are working against their own interests.

            The Democrat supermajority that passed Obamacare included a $500 billion cut to medicare, honey. It's the democrats that are cutting medicare, not republicans. It's why they want those death panels. They want you to die before you get any social security benefits so they can keep the ponzi scheme going.

                  In the first place those euthanasia counselore aren't the only death panels there, girly. The people who decide whether it's "cost effective" to treat you or give you a choice between the red pill or the green pill to ease your pain instead of treating your disease. Or even deciding on whether life extension research should even be done. Those are the other death panels you don't even think about. Need an MRI?Get in line while the cancer spreads. I hope you can sleep at night pushing this statist garbage.

   Republican,Democrat or Independent it really makes no difference at all.No matter if the senator was in office 15yrs or 50yrs they still suck tax dollars in a lifetime pension AND full medical insurance til the day they die. Yet, for all that, WE get screwed every time one of those morons opens their mouth. One way or another the American public will end up paying for the political nightmare that has evolved in our society because the politicians won't listen to us. The saddest part is no matter who is elected, until we get rid of the career politician and change the constitution so these thieves CANNOT vote themselves raises every year, WE will continue down this self-destructive path by consistently re-electing the thieves we now have.

      I thought this was a hub about some old guy who wrote the truth. It got all political in here but really a bunch of rich politicians who got richer did not really care to much about any program. If they killed all loopholes and made a fair tax system we would be getting somewhere. If we made lobbyist gather petitions like all ordinary citizens we might be represented. Get angry and off your butts and start getting control of this two party circus. Commit yourselves to promoting some new answers instead of believing that your vote means something or carries any weight. What we do know is that they can no longer afford anything but they are going to fight for every table scrap they can get. It is time for people to do something other then cry about the poor people protesting wall street.

   Actually, Ken - I don't deny ANYONE access to anything.  Want to participate in a government program? Meet the eligibility, and go for it.  I'm not a "leftist." I consider that term derogatory, and right on up there with racial slurs, so please feel free to reserve your indignation for someone with whom you aren't actively slinging slurs at.
