    following new member> Why?

thousands of new hubber sign up everyday> spam allover hubpages> create substandard contents > harm the community.

        Follow them?

Only a few sign up and continue with quality. They are certainly worth following.

I would only follow quality hubber no matter if they are newbies or old ones after reading their quality hubs or forum posts.

flag when you get one. flag the low quality hubs, spamming forum post and the author. offer advice on what to do and what not to.

I agree with Saleheen, new Hubbers need to earn their followers by writing good content, contributing to the forums when possible, and rate and flag hubs and spammers when needed.

Followers will come if you can do these things well.
