The last 2 days have been the most dismal I have seen on my adsense in months, maybe years. And traffic is dropping again.

I tend to think it has a lot to do with the happenings in Japan, people are preoccupied with the disasters (and rightfully so).

HP ad program is looking good though. It's nice to see promising results. I'm almost to payout within days of activating the new ad program.

Figures have been flat for me in the last two days also Dorsi.
I agree it is probably the earthquakes. They had another nasty one a few minutes ago.
I am looking forward to participating in the new ad program.
My weekends are all a bit weak, so I did not notice the drop until you mentioned it. smile

      Sorry to hear Dorsi.

My adsense has been running a bit low this weekend, but it usually dips on the weekend anyways.

I'm glad to hear that the HP program is working for you. smile

My traffic was/is nearly back to normal, except I get a severe dip every week starting Thursday through to Monday which wasn't there before, but nearly all my ad clickers are gone. I never did have a high ctr, but really if you take it that you can expect 2 clicks per 100 views, I was there round about, maybe a bit less. Now, I'm getting the views and no clickers, and judging from what I've been reading, this has been happening to a lot of people.

I think you're right; the overall CTR is down for many people.  Including me.

I've kind of thought that it was because of low traffic in that very nearly all of the lost traffic was from google.  The producers of the clicks aren't visiting.  I still have the HP traffic, some organic link traffic, and a little Xomba traffic, but not much of that produces any clicks!

Thanks for posting this because I was freaking out why it was so bad on mine or really dismal.  However, I bet you are right and it's good to know that I am not alone smile  Although, ready for it to go back up smile

Although my traffic has gotten a little better (only 20% to 25% down now), today was the worst day I have had since I first started here at HP. My Amazon conversion rate stayed stable, but I made a whopping $0.00 with AdSense today from HP.

    Yup. Zilch.

Hopefully the HP ad program made up for that loss. Will find out tomorrow I guess.

I noticed some of my hubs didn't have as many ads on as usual. It made me wonder if some changes are being made or something.

I got zero clicks today too for Adsense which is unusual.

My CTR has actually improved a little bit since I started killing off the news capsules.

Really? Now with 63 hubs, approx what percentage had news capsules?

Darn near all of them. Per HP’s original recommendation, I’d gone overboard on that. smile

So far I’ve fixed about half of them. It would have been more, but I stopped when “the scares” started. I’ll probably do the rest tomorrow.

Well let us all know if you see a difference. A few of my earlier hubs had news capsules, but my later ones - that is from maybe last July/august onwards had rss feeds instead with inter-related hubs. I still add the odd news capsule, but only where I feel the news items can add something to the hub. If not, I don't bother.
Unfortunately with normal traffic fluctuations I'd rather hear about the difference it makes over a month or two at least, rather than a day or two, so you'll have to keep us updated smile

PS its early Monday morning here and my traffic is also improving, as it has done at this time every week for the three weeks since the crash, but I haven't removed the news capsules.

Don't count on it. I've bought lottery tickets...

Mine is terrible too, makes me feel like I have been 'smartpriced', today will probably be my lowest since 2009 or early 2010.

Both my views and ad clicks are better today. I've changed nothing so far.  smile
