reply to ALL comments?

   Hello,
   I appreciate anyone who reads or leaves comments on my hubs...
   Is it rude not to respond to comments left on my hubs.
   
   Should I respond to them all?

      I try to respond to all comments ~ I think that it is only polite to acknowledge that someone is taking an interest in one's work.

      I respond to all of them. Most people are writing to tell you they appreciated what you had to say. I have also been surprised about which hubs got the most responses. The traffic comes from other countries, and many hubbers have great insights and can add to your knowledge of even the hubs you have written. But I agree with Cagsil, either answer them all, or don't answer any. That's the way I would go. Happy writing!

   B4murray, I reply to all my comments out of common courtesy. Also it draws followers and repeat visits when you respond to their comments.

   There is nothing rude in it. However, when responding to someone, I would be careful to respond to earlier comments as well; to avoid conveying the impression that I am ignoring some people.

   Either respond to all comments or don't respond to any comments is the only way to do it.
   
   If you respond to only certain comments then it give off the appearance that you'll ignore others comments, depending on how the comments come across.
   
   I usually respond to comments left. The comment would have to be approved first. You can set your comment boxes to not show up on your hubs until you've reviewed them. This helps weed out junk/spam type comments, which you would not respond to anyways.

   Depends on the comments.. If I get a "nice hub" or "thanks" comment I rarely reply. But if I get a comment that adds value to my readers or are asking a question, I will make an effort to reply as soon as I can.  Also, I have just gone through some of my most commented on hubs and removed a ton of them from people that were not logged in or who left an anchor link in their name or link in their comment thereby absorbing some of my page rank.  I do leave links to other hubs if they are relevant to the topic.

   I pretty much aim to respond to all comments, but sometimes you get this kind of thing going on:
   
   Fred - good Hub.
   Lisa - Fred, thanks.
   Bill - nice Hub.
   Lisa - Bill, thank you.
   Susie - Interesting Hub.
   Lisa - Susie, thank you. 
   
         
   
   Sometimes I'll do something like,
   
   Fred,
   Bill,
   Susie,
   
   thank you.
   
   (That kind of thing can still look like making a big deal out of comments that - at least in a lot of cases - the commenter wasn't all that invested in anyway.    )
   
   Sometimes, though, there's even a longer comment that pretty much says it all and/or pretty much is a matter of the commenter's adding his two cents; with the comment's not particularly calling for yet more "deliberation" over one point or another.  I think sometimes there's something more respectful in letting a commenter have the last word. 
   
   So, in answer to the OP's question:  It all just kind of depends...
