One sees a computer with all the systems in it; one thinks it has been manufactured by some factory; one does not think even for a moment that it has existed always and has not been made by anybody.

If an Atheist Skeptic Agnostic sees Sun in the skies above and thinks it existed always and was not made by the Creator at a point in time; I think he is not rational; he must see a neurologist.

    Am I right?

I think its skeptics & atheists who came up with the Big Bang theory that Banged your Religion really hard. So what you are claiming against Atheists or skeptics is really untrue. They do know & believe that Sun has a age & wasnt there always.

***But its you who believe there is an invisible hidden buddy in the skies, who were there always*** big_smile

      Is atheism a neurological disorder?

No, its just intellectual superiority which is above your understanding! wink

well Asperger's Syndrome (on the autistic spectrum) is considered a 'neurological disorder" - psychologists are fond of using "disorder" for what's not the most common.  Those with AS have different brain wiring and are often intellectual - more into ideas and things than people/relationships.   I've heard the majority of people with AS are atheists.

I don't think Atheism is a neurological disorder... I think you're asking the question to gain support for your belief.  While Neurologists have located a "God Spot" in the brain, not interpreting the activity of that spot to God is not a disorder.... maybe you just really like chocolate... or sex (both would have roughly the same effect as "experiencing God".

Disorder is thrown around way too much, even by professionals.

Keep in mind, I'm Christian.  I also love science... but both should be used for Truth, not attacks.

agree "disorder" is assigned when it is really a difference from the majority.  Since you are a chrisitian that loves science, would you please comment on the thread I started about evolution & christians?

I think your tedious relentless posts about religion are mind numbingly dysfunctional.

why don't you just change the record occasionally.

Or do you have a theological disorder?

One sees a being, one thinks it comes from something, a father, a seed, another being, from a chemical process; one does not think even for a moment that it has existed always and has no origin.

If a believer feels a being and thinks it existed always and was not made by another creator at a point in time; I think he is not rational; he must see a neurologist.

When you observe something like a computer, by definition it is understood as a human innovation. So it is empirical. When you look at something that is billions of years older than you, and saying that by comparison it would require a creator as well? That is not empirical. so the comparison cannot be made. I do not think tat neurological disorders can be applied with either theist or atheist. IN that it simply a result of how you analyze the world around you. This concept is not logically sound.

As well if god is going to damn me for not believing in in him he shouldn't have had neurological disorders that would predispose me to blasphemy. That would not be a just god.  So this concept is not theologically sound as well.

I as well want to comment on the concept of people with aspergers syndrome being atheist? Ok, even if it is true. just like square is a rectangle though a rectangle is not a square. just because some people with neurological disorders are atheist does not mean that atheist have neurological disorders.

      Consider this concept debunked.

well when one sees sun, one does also understand that something created that...not does atheist disagree with it?..i dont think so..no one can disagree or debate on something which is real ..(read between the lines too paar)...one may not say sun doesnot exist...can any one?..one may also never say sun was wrongly interpretated...nor one can say my sun is better than your sun..

coming to your question..well who says sun was not created out of something..now whether that was intelligent force or non intelligent force, whether that force did it with full knowledge or force was plain non living entity , whether that force has emotions like want to be pleased , wants to judge , wants to get angry or that force is auto unit which cannot feel...that is where difference comes...

so rationally it is only conclusive that sun was created out of something..rest is speculation...one may say god created it or one may say natural forces created it..etc etc..all speculations till complete process of creation gets realized...

      2. spookyfox profile image59
spookyfoxposted 13 years agoin reply to this

"Who" is a human concept. People always say something like "where there's a table, there's a carpenter", a metaphor for creator-creation, in other words, the table would be the Universe and the carpenter god. Well, it doesn't end there. Where there's a carpenter, there is/was a mother! And a father, and two more for each of them, and so on.

Furthermore, creation as we speak of it, that is, art, manufacturing, etc., is not really creating in the literal sense. A carpenter doesn't create a table, he just rearranges elements that were already there, in a certain way. As Sagan said: "If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the Universe".

The same happened with the Sun on a much larger scale, but without a "who" behind it. Just lots of hydrogen and gravity.

    2. profile image52
paarsurreyposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Who created the natural forces; which created sun and why did the natural forces  create sun and for what purpose? Please identify the " the natural forces".

      1. spookyfox profile image59
spookyfoxposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Do you see where you're going with this?

You ask, who created the Sun. You've been told natural forces. Then you ask who created the natural forces, or who used them. Let's assume someone says god.

Now give me a logical reason to stop there. Why not ask "who created god?" next?

The natural forces are gravity, electromagnetism, strong and weak.

@paar every one be it be religious or non religious person knows that sun was created out of big bang...sun is also one of stars like many stars created out of big bang...now comes question about what caused big bang..so master of physics hawking says law of physics are capable enough to create such big bang on its own...butg religion believes that some supernatural who is called god caused big bang...now logically comes question about who created god...well religion fails to answer that..god was always there is the answer...now this answer too is illogical one..it is like defining a constant..science doesnot have complete answer too...so my friend it is all speculation...buddha and vedanta gives better picture than popular religions in this...from something to nothing to something..for 100 to 0 to 100...what we call nothing is cumilation of energies which would more likely to manifest in form of big bang...does that need intelligent force?..not necessary...i hope you got my point of view...

Your mind is closed to any and every view that has a slight tinge of (apparently irrational) god-doubt to it. You are beyond redemption. Paarsurrey, couldn't someone say you have a disorder?? I mean think about it... you put faith in the so-called Messiah of 1835 who even your own Islam people know is fake! He plagarised his writings from a well-known author yet previously claimed ALL his writings came straight from God. Then he swore God himself taught him latin... but his work is full of grammer erros and wrong translations! He then admitted he used a dictionary... LOL!!!

The Qu'ran says not to blaspheme any Prophet of God or it is punishable by death! Yet this so-called Messiah of yours blasphemed against Jesus! It's in his writings! And the Islam people called him out on this! This is why your Islamic people deny him! Because he was fake! And everyone but you seems to realize this!

Atheism is like a mind in a freshly programmed new computer - it works better, faster and is a joy to be with.  Religion is a virus that infects the computer, reducing its processing ability, sending out illiterate messages to all your friends and putting up those really irritating glittery flashy semi-pornographic bits of proselyte every three minutes.

Try Godbot - it can sift through all your systems and remove such malware in only a few years - I scanned mine recently and found over 1367 bits of drivel, 231 vicious attitudes, 456 moralising dimwits, and 5 lying cheating smileys.
