Just as the title says, What does make a good herbalist? Should they be just as knowledgeable in traditional medicine's as well as holistic medicines?
A good herbalist is one who knows herbs, inside and out. They know all the contraindications of herb to medicine, and herb to herb.
They know how to treat the body as a whole. They know which herb to reach for, and combinations of herbs for their clients conditions.
They have studied herbs, as well as some medicine, so that they know how the bodies systems work.
They know that herbs have their limits, and that sometimes traditional medicine should be incorporated as part of the healing program.
A good herbalist is some one that treats you as they would like to be treated, good quality information as well as herbs being sold not just for profit(s).....Some one that takes time to explain to you what your looking for and what it's for etc. Also explains the difference in prices per say the same herbs one better than the other because one is cheaper or because of the difference in company's name.
A good herbalist is someone who studies constantly the new and different products on the market that is promoted in the nutritional aisles of the stores. There are many contraindications in medications that are being taken via prescription by the MD and a good herbalist needs to get to the right information to inform of what is helpful or harmful for a person to take. Advertising can be misleading, so I would expect a good herbalist to communicate well with the customers.
A good herbalist can help you take control of your health. Programs, that "One step at a time", with the help of wholesome herbs and proper nutrition, will purge your body of filthy, toxic poisons. Depending on your situation and problems, you can cleanse your blood and lymphatic system. You can cleanse your vital organs; the liver, gallbladder, kidneys and lungs of slimy, sticky. decaying toxins accumulated from years of eating foodless food. You can purge your body of parasites which can reek havoc with your health. You can bring yeast under control and develop friendly flora. Your body is self-cleansing and self-healing when you give it a chance. A good herbalist can do all of this for you with your help, one step at a time.

There are almost as many different types of cancer as there are people. No two are alike, so not one treatment is going to work for all cases.

Do the warnings on medicine packages make us safer?A friend had a cold, bought some cold medicine and looked all over the package for the dose. There were 5 of us who looked at the package. One of the 3 PhD's in the group said it only has one in the package so maybe that's the dose. Another...
