As you may have guessed, I am new to Hubpages. I created my first hub and submtted it to be published. I received a message from the moderator that it is not up to standards for any of the following reasons.....very generalized. How do I go about finding out more specific reasons?
Thank you!
e m ail them and ask them- did you put a lot of personal content in?
Thank you for your prompt response, CASE1WORKER. Since posting here, I've visited several Hubs to get a better idea of what a good Hub would look like. I realize now, that yes, it does contain personal content, but it also was writen in a blog-like way. By that I mean written in a continual manner. This isn't acceptable format, I have found. Once again, thank you for your help!
You know Faithjoy, I have been here a year but was away for some time.
And then like you, I just recently come back and I see all these "substandard hubs".
"What the ?!@#$%?"
And so now, I am busily trying to at least make them "standard", so I feel you.
Anyway, welcome to HP!
The site FAQ can provide a lot more detail,

Your question seems wellphrased, so it would not seem to be your 'writing'. Subject matter? Sadly no one can comment on your piece without reading it! Try leaving it for a few days and then read it again - you may notice phrasing which could be improved upon. There is very little use in trying to edit your own work as soon as you have finshed it. It has to be completely left and 'forgotten' and then returned to after a few days - and you may see what was apparently unacceptable. You may need to do a little re-writing. Have another go...!
Faithjoy, you can also email the Hubpages Team to ask about the specific reason, and they may respond with more detailed feedback. http://hubpages.com/email/help/

Should HubPages post a hub on Facebook if it has grammatical errors in the summary?I just saw such a hub on Facebook. I think this reflects poorly on our community and rewards substandard work.

All of my hubs are offline.I were making good income from just 35 hubs, got 100 followers and many good comments. But all is wasted as moderators think that my hubs don't qualify standards of hubpages.I don't argue with moderators as they are doing their work.Still peoples like me who's hubs have...

Along with the Google effect lately I've seen a lot of forum posts about spam, and every time I hub hop it is obvious that there is a lot submitted here of both spam and simply substandard hubs.I would suggest that the following rules apply to the first 5 (or 10 or 20?) hubs by any new...

I've been on here for 9 months and followed all the advice from the learning centre, forums and hubs from the best hubbers. I earned the first $24.00 in the first month and I'm only $1.00 ahead for the next eight. What am I doing wrong? All help will be greatfully received.

Wouldn't it be nice if some explanation about the hub came with the above mentioned notices. All you get is the general notice that you hub is overly promotional or substandard and it needs to be fixed. If it is re-submitted and is not fixed properly you could be banned from...

I find it hilarious that Hubpages pushes the concept of helping new Hubbers yet my Hub which has had very good reception by the community has been flagged for being both overly promotional and substandard.I had 5 social bookmarking links, and 2 other links to free tools absolutely related to the...
