Well, I just joined Hubpages Friday night. So far I have written 4 articles, one is just for my friend (the video game one) the rest are written for strictly helping other people. Can you guys tell me if they are well written,or badly written?
Thanks a lot.

Thanks again, and if I'm violating something, just tell me, I do not mean to "start threads for the sole purpose of promotion or posting links".
Except that is what you are just doing... Edit off the direct links
It's in the extreme makeover thread and direct links are acceptable in this spot on the forums unless that has changed and I missed it.
Do I edit or not? Sorry, I though it said I can post direct links here.
Sorry, I got ticked at the other response and forgot to leave you a comment.
I agree with Cags. Think of it this way~~what is going to make the reader stay? Would you be interested in the hub enough to keep reading and find out more?
I think overall you are doing a pretty good job, just more content and spice it up with some pics. Let us see you actually making the chicken. You know that kind of thing.
I've reviewed all three hubs-
(a) You need to add content to them all.
(b) When you add more content, use more text capsules, so that you can take advantage of headers that are automatically bold type.
(c) Articles up to 1500 words can use 9-15 keywords/tags and articles over 1500 words can use up to 40 keywords/tags.
(d) When you add more content, as I've suggested, please make sure that your first text capsule has enough text written, so as to trigger the Google Adsense Ad Block, which would show up along side your first text capsule. You can use the Preview, to see how and when it triggers the ad block.
I hope that helps.
What kind of things should I add though? Another recipe to add to the chicken thing? Side dishes? I know I can add to the happiness thing, and I guess I could change the 5 things to make money.
Is my overall writing ok though? Grammar, etc.
You overall writing/grammar is fine, and welcome to Hubpages
I would add some photos to all your hubs. They not only break the text up, but make the hub more attractive to the casual surfer.
I'm trying to learn to write shorter hubs like yours. They are long enough to contain the information needed, yet short enough to have Cags telling you they are too short!
From what I am seeing, shorter hubs can do as well as longer hubs, and I don't happen to think they are too short.
The recipe hub is a good length in fact, but could really do with a photo of the finished product.
Ok, I'll make some tuesday and post pictures. Thanks alot for the suggestions! I'll also take pictures to go along with all the steps, and I forgot to say that you can add seasoning.
Thanks again for commenting guys, I think I'll keep with this for a while (writing hubs, etc)
Okay, since IzzyM has more writing experience, forget what I said.
Hey Cags!! Don't be like that - my comment was tongue in cheek!
Ok, lets not start a cat fight here. You both seem to be excellent writers. I will make my things slightly longer and add pictures.
added text in the first capsule, now ads are there.
Thanks for the tips!

I don't know why but the views of all articles written by me have gone down which suggests that HubPages and other sites associated with them are going down in the rankings. Note that I had several successful articles on multiple sites like LevelSkip and ToughNickel. Now everything has gone to...

I just read a Hub that said that the author was going to go to the freelance website and pay people to write articles for him that he would put on HubPages to make himself money from. That can't be okay with the HubPages site, is it? A couple of people commented, including an author that I have...

1. Ignore the number of followers & internal views. 2. Ignore hubber and hub scores. 3. Write, write, write to build up a base of quality content.4. Write on low competition topics so views increase with time. 5. Stop promoting so much when you could be writing. It's a waste of time unless you...

I can't seem to find an answer for this in the learning center. I have a large set of articles I've been writing for a while + some time on my hands to dedicate to Hubpages for the next couple of months. Would publishing 10 hubs a day benefit or disadvantage me, both in terms of hub score /...

I notice several disgruntled Hubbers on Eric's new Hub, saying they're leaving HubPages because of the duplicate content flags. They seem to be misunderstanding what the dup content flag is all about - either they think they're being penalized, or that the flag means they have to delete the Hub.I...
