Google Analytics tracking code not detected

   Hi!
   
   I signed up for Google Analytics a week or so ago, but have had no results.
   
   This message came up when I checked it:
   
   'The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website's home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website.'
   
   But my code has been entered and is visible on the affiliates page.
   
   What am I doing wrong, please?

   I thought that I had. I followed the instructions and, when the page comes up, it shows: hubpages.com/profile/Trish_M

      That is what the instructions say, I know. I also know that many have reported problems with getting their profile URL to work with Analytics. "hubpages.com" seems to work better. That is what I am using.

   Hey Trish, did you put your Google Analytics affiliate ID in your affiliate section on Hubpages.
   
   I opened my account at Google Analytics, and was told to wait, however, I failed to install my ID on Hubpages in my affiliate section.
   
   There is a dedicated spot for it all by itself. It's not the same as Google Adsense.
   
   Also, make sure you go to Google Adsense and connect your Google Adsense account to Google Analytics.

      Yes, it's there ~ under Google Analytics Affiliate Code.
      
      Maybe I should contact them. I have obviously done something wrong, but I don't know what

            I have now put  http://hubpages.com   for Website URL:
            
            My personal reference is down for profile name; hubpages.com/profile/Trish_M
            
            Is that what you meant??

   Trish, I have no recollection of these options. Personally, I would go with not/don't.
   
   For URL, just try: hubpages.com

   There is no code for you to paste into your pages, that is for Webmasters only.
   
   I wonder what your HubPages control panel, affiliate settings, says for Analytics: Active?
   
   Please note: It can take up to 24 hours for tracking to become effective. You may want to wait that long.

      Somehow ~ and I'm bewildered as to how ~ I have been allocated a new code.
      I just added it to my account and it is working already.
