How do I cite a source that comes from a webpage???
I am writing an illustrative essay for college and do not completely understand works cited pages, and in-text citations. This needs to be in MLA format.
I looked through examples in the book, but they do not give a clear cut answer.
I have an article on the internet that I need to give reference to but do not know what to write in parenthesis in the text of my essay.
Here is the source. http://www.drugalcoholaddictionrecovery.com/?p=22
Usually, depending on university, you would start of something like
Author of Page; Year of publish or last update; Article (or page) name; website address (exact); and dated cited.
Hope it helps
this would only apply to websites though, not books!
The thing is, there is not an author to that page. There is a title, name of website, and date it was published.
I believe the it would look like this in works cited:
"The Effects of Addiction on Family and Friends." Drug & Alcohol Addiction, Recovery Magazine. 19, Nov. 2008. Web. 27, Mar. 2011
However, I don't know how I would put it in the text.

Are in-text citations and references needed (or at least highly encouraged) for informative hubs?I was wondering whether it is highly encouraged that hubbers put in specific references within the texts as how they are written in scientific papers or simply put references at the end. Maybe it ...

I am trying out MLA format citing in the hubs. When citing, I am including the link in the Works cited area. The link is not blue, or live. I know we can only have 1 link to any given source, so should I still hyperlink in the text? If so should I hyperlink the article name in the in text cite, or...

I would love to see a citation feature that would build a source list for us much like you see on wikipedia. I want to be able to drop a source in as I write and have a bibliography and footnote notation appear. Right now I highlight text and use links or place a links capsule with...

I give! I've searched the first 3 or 4 pages of "Getting Help" Forum and I've read the entire Link's Capsule section in the Learning Center (http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/using-hubtool). That Hub, by the way, has a large number of Quick Links in it. How do you create a list of topics...

I wrote this article; Geminids-Meteor Shower 2017, last month and I got an email saying that this article is eligible to be moved to Owlcation. They ask for some improvements related to links and citations. I´d like to know where on the article should I place the links and citations that give...

What is the deal with people creating hubs with 100% bolded or underlined text body?As I have been hub hopping I have run across several hubs with the entire body of the article in bold, underline, or both. It is hurtful to my eyes when I come upon it, I do not even want to read whatever it is....
