Yikes! How do you deal with a flood of ideas & get Hubs written too?

Since I've been publising Hubs, it seems like everything I come in contact with gives me an idea.  "OH, that would make a good Hub!" Doesn't matter if I'm out and about getting things done, visiting or researching, it seems like my imagination is on overdrive. My Favorites list is like a traffic jam of folders and subfolders of info to get back to. Do you have the same thing happening with you? and if so, how do you organize it all?

I have a notepad that I write all of my ideas in.  It started out as a scrap piece of paper and earned it's right for me to spend half a dollar on its own notepad. smile  The list grows and grows and one day...I'll make a noticeable dent in it.  LOVE your avatar by the way!

        Thank you  : )
I have a small notebook too.  It fits in my pocket or purse and it's almost full!  Do you work right from the notebook or do you transfer it to a list on your computer? I've found since having a computer it's hard to keep track of things I've written down on paper!

Prioritize what you feel like doing first, create a plan to move through them and then venture on the journey to complete them. wink

I really like the idea of turning it into a journey, Cagsil  : )  I guess the secret lies in the first two steps so that it can go smoothly!  Thank you  : )

That's actually a really good question. I've suffered from not addressing it ahead of time.

Keyword research - if it doesn't pay well enough to suit your needs, don't even add it to the list.

Best approach - here or elsewhere? Sometimes it changes. Stuff that used to do well here won't anymore.

    Niche or stand-alone?

Stand-alones go on a list, and ideally you'd get to that list frequently in between or during breaks on other projects. These should typically be things you can shoot out fairly quickly and be done with, minus any off-site promotion.

Niches are best worked one project at a time, at least until you've reached a point wherein you've covered all the paying basics. Niche ideas also go on a list, after passing keyword test to make sure it pays. For me, that list constantly gets revised. Things keep getting scratched off as other seemingly better ideas get added.

One niche-build at a time has become the rule for me. It keeps things manageable, I'm sure I waste less time that way, and I get better, more consistent results.

As you go along you'll learn more which niches and approaches are likely to work best, and you'll keep revising your lists. Just always pick the most promising-looking one you have to be next. But finish what you're already working on first.

Wow, thanks for these specific ideas Pandoras Box, I appreciate your taking the time to write it all out. They'll work great in figuring out a deeper way to prioritize what I'm most interested in so I can fit it into a plan as Cagsil suggested.  : )

Hey Cindy, if it helps, try to narrow down a range of topics 5-10 might work well. Prioritize those, write them, and publish them. Please remember, you can write about those 5-10 topics as much as you like and you are not restricted. You can more than one hub on the same topic, but differently written, but still conveys same message. You can write hubs based on one specific view or write hubs on researched based information.

Those who partake in the 30 Hubs in 30 Days Challenge, write on average one hub a day and they commit to doing so.

    I hope that helps. wink

Yes, I think that would work - put the material into topics (and 5-10 topics is broad enough so I should be able to arrange it all! Lol) and then focus on one at a time until I've run out of things to say about it.  And that would make it a niche like Pandoras Box suggested right?
I've been considering doing the 30 day challenge, but I want to make sure that I'm going to definately commit to it!  : )
      Thanks again!
