Has anyone having problems editing their hubs in the last few hours?

I just tried to update an older hub and found I couldn't change anything. Then I tried to edit a new hub that isn't quite ready to publish.  Same thing.  What's going on?

May I ask what browser and operating system you are using?

Vista and the latest version of Firefox.

I was writing a new hub on Saturday, so obviously the ability to edit was working just fine then.  Also, as of last night I can't re-order columns on the statistics page. When I click on a heading to do so, it takes me (by default?) to the top of the page instead.  Verrrry frustrating!

I should add I've changed nothing else on my machine.  Haven't added any new programs, downloaded anything from questionable websites, etc, or done anything since Saturday that could cause this.  Has to be something in HP code.  Without the ability to write new hubs or edit old ones, what's the point of being here?

Just noticed something else.  Next to my avatar here, it's showing 673 followers, but my profile only shows 671, the number of fans I had on Thurs/Fri.  Makes one think everything relating to my account got lost in the shuffle of a routine update over the weekend.  ???

I can sympathise with your frustration, but I just tried Firefox 4.0 and 3.5.X running on vista to edit a hub and was successful.

There must be something else going on.

Sort of a hail Mary thought, but as a Russian colleague once said, "Never underestimate the power of reboot."  Might be worth a try.

Thanks, Mark, but I have re-booted...several times...and have even tried signing in on Internet Explorer. Same problems. Will try editing something at my blog next, but still think this is an HP issue, not something at my end.

I'm trying to think of reasons you would be afflicted, and I not.  So far, nothing comes to mind.  ...frustrating for me too.

Hey Mark, would third party cookies play a factor with browsers, as far as hubs are concerned?

I know that third party cookies must be manually changed, because Windows will protect against them. My Windows XP and IE browser, I had to manually adjust to accept cookies, including third party, just to be online specific websites.

I mean, if a re-boot has been done, the switch to Firefox or Chrome has been tried, then it would be something in the program of the browsers the user is using..the settings themselves.

I know nothing about Vista? I don't use it. I know IE has and continues to have problems on Hubpages. Maybe Vista has some setting that needs to be changed?

I am just trying to help. wink

I downloaded several Windows updates.  I don't know for sure doing so is what fixed it, but everything works fine now. Guess you can add that to the list of possible solutions if anyone else should experience this problem. It's odd, tho, that no other site I'm on had these issues with editing, etc.
