well I've spent the past hour reporting two sites for copying one of my hubs..I found this on google and reported them
http://www.plagiarismchecker.com/report … php#google
and I've added a disclaimer on top of my copied hub telling any reader that is has been copied and where.maybe readers will start reporting back...this is getting old
One of the best places to check for copies is here:
http://www.copyscape.com/
Page rank of 8.
Looks like I have to pay to use this...
"The maximum number of scans per month has been reached for this site.

That big, blue eye looks familiar somehow…
Hmmm, I thought you could use it a few times a day for free. Well, it still is the best place to check for copies of any webpages.
But I guess you have to pay for it.
i don't know how Google or any other search engine can take measures against those who have blogs and copy articles. They don't appear to have adsense on the sites
I've received no response from the thief
grrrr
That's so frustrating! Good for you for taking a stand against plagiarism- I hope it gets worked out. It seems like people think that just because it's online, words are free to steal. Drives me nuts!
Adsense or not, if google manually removes them from search engine results it would hurt. It would also prevent copied content from causing any harm to the real owner.
hubdefender.com
I use nothing other than that except for the occasional google search of my work.
However, I am currently developing something similar to hubdefender that has more features as hubdefender doesn't quite meet all my needs. Great site, though.

If for example some of our content is copied on a page and there is other content on that page that the plagiarist created themselves genuinely, can we be legally liable if a web hosting service or online service provider (E.g. Google or Bing) deletes all the content or removes access. I've...

Is there anyway that a feature can be added to Hubpages that identifies where in a hub it thinks there is an instance of duplication.I recently published a hub which was identified as duplicate, I spent hours researching the topic and typing it up, once published in hub pages it was flagged as...

I am afraid to put much info until I investigate further and take action. Check your own. The scraped one appears just below mine on page 1 for my keywords. At least it is not above mine. The culprit has Google+ authorship. His date precedes mine, as my update date is later. So now I have to prove...

Google has introduced The Scraper Report. It allows you to easily report copied content that is outranking the original. Check it out: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Pw1KVO … Y/viewform

I want peoples opinions about the following.I have been checking for stolen content using sentences further into some of my hubs and have started uncovering dozens of pages where just random sentences have been stolen from a hub and combined with random (related??) sentences from I guess other...

Hi all,I've been using Google Alerts to find and report duplicated hubs without having to spend hours doing a monthly search for them. Here's what you do. Go to Google Alerts, add an alert and copy and paste the headline in "" into the alert, eg., "Headline". Then select - How...
