Several of you wonderful hubbers have asked me to share my results, and I got them today. They found plasma cells in my bone marrow, which is bad. They numbered under 10%, however, which is good. I don't have enough to be diagnosed with multiple myeloma. My hematologist/oncologist is going to keep a close eye on it.
I'm glad to hear that so far whatever might have been an issue may not become one. I don't know how high the % needs to be to be considered too much but here's hoping it remains under the radar and that you remain well. My best wishes habee
Praise God for that! I shall continue to keep you in my prayers.
Thanks for the update Habee, although I don't really know what it means. I hope it works out well for you.
This is certainly a case where no news is good news. Glad you made it through everything with a smile, Habee.
Did they actually give you a diagnosis?
MGUS - for now, at least. My monoclonal proteins have been steadily rising, however, so my doc wanted the bone marrow biopsy/aspiration.
Why did you get your dagnosis in Cyrillic ??? I have no idea what it means - but good luck with whatever it is and I am glad to hear that you are less than the required percentage, whatever it means !
AND seriously, I am glad it appears to be at least not so bad news - how is your hubby doing now after the recent scare ?
That sounds like really good news. Most folks with MGUS don't develop any other problems. Phew!
Well it seems you and your body are giving this thing one hell of a fight! Keep that up and keep those monoclonal proteins down.
Glad that you got sort of good news.
Habee, I'm releived to hear this. I know first hand about MM. Now would be a good time to start heavy on the vitamin C. If you research it a bit, you'll see that it can prevent cancer. There are some docs who actually give it intraveneously, but Big Pharma wants to stop it. Keep fighting this....you will get the victory!
Thank you Habee. At least the good news outweighs the bad. Let your doctor worry about it and you go back to living your life.
I think when doctors do not know what to say they will invent some complicated terminology to cover their ignorance on the subject. Be a happy bee, Habee!
It sounds like a toast is in order here!
To Your Health Habee!
Your a strong woman Habee so keep the good thoughts going and eat lots of fruit with the big C to promote healthy cells!
Glad to hear the kind of good news. Take care Habee. My thoughts are with you. Didn't have a chance to comment before. Feel better really fast.
Not good, but not bad is okay. We'll keep all the positivity we can coming your way! Good to hear, and thanks for the update!
Keep up the good work, Habee. You know there are a lot of people pulling for you!
Best of wishes habee. Hope this stays under control and that you lead a long and happy life.

Thank goodness! The surgeon took two plugs from my left hip, with the use of a hammer, and did an aspiration, also. He told hubby I had really hard bones, so at least I don't have to worry about osteoporosis. I was very sore yesterday - felt like someone had beaten me with a hammer. The incision...

What is the "Good News?" What is its purpose?I have seen the term used among people on religious forums. I wonder if there is a unified understanding of the term.

As many of you know, I suffered a nonmalignant brain tumor earlier this year. Recovery has been hard and slow, but I'm much better now. As a small thank you, I'm posting a photo since many have wondered what I look like. It's an old one, but I didn't want to scare you. Thank...

Johnny has early ileum. Apparently, because of his bronchitis and COPD, his intestines did not get enough oxygen and they partially shut down. The bronchitis also triggered the atrial flutter. He's doing better and is now on a liquid diet, so at least he won't starve. He's not in as much pain,...

I know its all doom and gloom with adsense at the moment, but I have some good news. They are going to put some money into my account as I have hit payout! I missed it by 2p (3c,) the previous month which was somewhat frustrating. It has taken 12 months to reach the target and somehow I...
