As you write more hubs, is the relationship between Hub's written and new follower growth a linear relationship on average, or an exponential one?

For every new hub written, is there linear growth at time (y) until one reaches a certain hubs written number and then goes exponential?

Or, is there a constant growth pattern for some and exponential for others?

How do the number of your followers really benefit a hubber?

Those here on hubpages rarely click on anything so what does the number of followers really matter, other than to maybe to fulfill a persons need for attention..

I would think it is linear.

But math is not my strong suit.

I think writing new hubs brought me hardly any followers - it was participating in the forums that got me most of my mine, I believe.

The rare exception would be hubs I've written that are guides to earning on and using Hubpages

Yep forums every time.  Mostly my new hubs lose followers.

I have developed a technique which I don't mind sharing.

Monday: Post one pro religion post.
    Tuesday: One anti Obama post
    Wednesday: One anti religion post.
    Thursday: Bring back Reagan post.
Friday: Free day - something about cuddly animals
Saturday / Sunday: When the drunks are in there's not much point. Move to the Answers section.

My followers have gone up since I started posting more and more! When you make a valid point or someone agrees with you it gets them to want to see what you'll write or say next.
