Freshman Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., hasn’t been shy about laying into the Energy Department, criticizing it last month for its appliance efficiency standards. And he blasted away again Thursday, saying the department “could be gotten rid of,” The Hill reports.
“It interferes with and takes away our choices on what kind of showers we want, what kind of toilets we want, what kind of light bulbs we want.” Paul told Fox Business Network. “Most of the Department of Energy is an impediment to producing energy. Not one barrel of oil is produced by the Department of Energy. But the Department of Energy stops a lot of oil from being produced.”
Paul has voiced support for energy conservation, but says the steps taken to accomplish it should be voluntary.

Ron and Rand Paul, 2012 - the only politicians worth voting for.
I sometimes wish Rand had been like every other son and not have listened to his father...lol
If you are a racist, own a coal mine, and believe in an economic ideology without any numbers in it. Yay....The Pauls
I came across this video clip of Rand confronting the DOE last month. That lady with the DOE looked like a fool. He called her a busy body to her face. It's one of the best political video clips I've seen in a while. Way to go Rand Paul!
LOL. I like the parting line from one of the other congressmen on the committee, "I'm sorry about your toilet".

Good video. Everyone should watch this one.
GET A CLUE, AMERICA. THIS IS PART OF YOUR CHANGE YOU VOTED FOR.

Electing someone to office who hates government is like appointing a vegetarian to promote beef sales.
Oly...I am shocked you can spell out CLUE without falling over dead with laughter. Watch out...if you write TRUTH or FACT, the irony might come off of the page and ask you to borrow the car.
Well, those who laugh last, laugh the hardest. I really hope it is you people, that get the last laugh.
I am just as sick and tired of all this crap as you are, but, somebody has to put a smile on your face, so it might as well be me, LOL.

Rand Paul is off the chart in right field. And he's over his head in the Senate.

Despite what you may think Rand Paul was speaking out against the drone program. After having heard so much dismay and grief from the left about this program and how much they disagreed with it I can only wonder why some of the Democrats did not join him?Or is the word bipartisan just a tool to you?
