Nobody knows where the 'sky' ends for a start.

The more you understand the Universe, the less likely you are to believe in a god. wink

Understanding God is understanding the universe....for they are one and the same.

Who are you to believe... those who starts out  with ignorance and ends there....

There is a better way one may look.

Nope. The most knowledgable living man on the subject of the universe is Stephen Hawking. He knows far more than you or I, and he is an atheist.

He has a free will but he is a human being; he has erred about the Creator-God.

Understanding the universe has nothing to do with the concept god to me. I suppose, it is possible you could be right. But how would understanding of the world we live in cause us to believe in anything? It  would simply help us know a great deal more than we do today.

Believing in the Creator-God is very natural; it should not be delayed to understand the Universe. One should believe in the Creator-God and also try to understand the Universe; there is no coflict in both.

Except for one problem, the more we understand the universe, the more we find there was never a need for any gods and no gods have ever shown they exist.

So, it would appear that if you wish to continue believing in your god, it's best you not try to understand anything. smile

No, I'd say it helps to remain lrgely ignorant of the way the universe works if you're to maintain a belief in god.

I think the evidence would point to this; the less educated a society, the greater the tendency toward belief...

Understanding god, the universe are 2 different things, however there linked since we believe god created the universe.

These are complementary and are not contradictory to one another.
