My husband has two favorite sayings: Nobody Cares & Suck it up.
What's your favorite saying or quote?
My favorite saying is, " Seriously?" I love saying it to the kids when they try to pull the wool over my eyes. lololoo
LOL! I find myself saying that a lot to my kids also!
My all-time favorite saying, however, is: "It's better to remain silent and be thought of a fool, than to speak up and remove all doubt."
I may not always adhere to it, but I think it's a great quote.
Que sera, sera - such a nice quote and song.
I rarely use quotes but my dad sang that song on car journies to my aunt, when as a child and it stuck!
I have many I like, but here's one;
"Yes. Way!" As opposed to "No Way?"
My favorite saying has been "OMG" as of late, maybe because there has been so many moments to say it. LOL
That is much better than WTF and FML!
I love this quote from A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh: "Did you ever stop to think, and then forget to start again?" So clever and so adorable.
Does that count? Of course, i don't get to insert that into casual conversations too often.
"They used to photograph Shirley Temple through gauze. They should photograph me through linoleum." Talluhah Bankhead
"If you really want to help the American theater, don't be an actress, dahling. Be an audience." Talluhah Bankhead
"I've tried several varieties of sex. The conventional position makes me claustrophobic and the others give me a stiff neck or lockjaw." Talluhah Bankhead
"my father warned me about men and booze but he never said anything about women and cocaine." Talluhah Bankhead
"Cocaine habit-forming? Of course not. I ought to know. I've been using it for years." Talluhah Bankhead
"Is it really progress if you teach a cannibal to eat with a knife and fork." not sure of source, will look up...
My favorite is something Christopher Robin said to Pooh...
"Always remember
You're braver than you believe
Stronger than you seem
and smarter than you think."
That quote is on my wall and has gotten me throgh some very tough times.
"The problem with beauty is that it's like being born rich and getting poorer." Joan Collins
"A man would prefer to come home to an unmade bed and a happy woman than to a neatly made bed and an angry woman." Marlene Dietrich
"If there is a supreme being, he's crazy." Marlene Dietrich
"When you're dead, you're dead. That's it." Marlene Dietrich
"Think twice before burdening a friend with a secret." Marlene Dietrich
My favorite quote is one I made myself- "Life Is Easy, People Make It Complicated".
Favorite sayings- "What? Are you out of your tree?" or "Go Fly a Kite".
Lillie Langtry, victorian actress, having just seen herself in her first and last movie: "It's the first time I've seen myself act, and I can't say I'm impressed."
Compliments always embarass me because I feel like they never say enough - Mark Twain
"All discarded lovers should be given a second chance, but with somebody else." Mae West
"Every man I meet wants to protect me. I can't figure out what from." Mae West
"Give a man a free hand and he'll run it all over you." Mae West
"I've been in more laps than a napkin."
Mae West
"When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before." Mae West
"You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough." Mae West
"He who hesitates is a damned fool." Mae West

Do you have a favorite saying, or quote?A long time ago a man once told me "Believe none of what you hear, and only half of what you see". I never did check to see if this was a mainstream quote. I just preferred to keep it the wisdom of the man who said it to me. This phrase has stuck...
