Going home tonight, school buss stoped on roadside, police car behind it.

Was signaled to pull out and pass- and as i went by there was about an 8 year old little Girl with her hands tied behind her back with one of those white police ties they use when they do not wish to use handcuffs. and she was laughing and skipping ahead of the police Lady on her way back to the Police car.

She was in custody and having a ball?  Made me think, what the H... is going on with our kids...police woman was walking fast to catch up to her and looked really frustrated. a shame

I don't quite understand the scenario where any child that young would legally be put in handcuffs anyway.....but I assume that's the safest way for her to be restrained.

I do not know how police handle that kind of thing. But there is something on the news tonight about kids in a fight on a school bus, and I think that was the Buss, so that may be why. I will see the police reports later tonight here at work when we post all the arrest data on the servers for the day, and know more, but right now it looks like thats what I saw.

according to what is stated so far, It was soft restraints according to the news write up. not sure yet, will see more later tonight I immagine. It was a Female Police Sargent "Supervisor" who took the little Girl in to Juvenile they are saying, so might have been circumstances- do not know.

They are still wotking on details from what the spokesperson said.

They have troubles here, and they do not admit it to the public, they make it overstatements that Nashville is a peacefull community, all sweet and nice-nice. It is not true. The news folks here take 20 min's to do the weather and 10 min's on news!

Its that Mid south "proper" influence, but not accurate immage.
Nashville is a great place, yes, but we have problems.

A nine-year-old being arrested for fighting on the bus?
Must have been quite a fight.
We will be interested in further details as you get them, dutchman.

And I was dismayed the other day when I pulled up behind a stopped school bus -- not once, but twice -- and the driver didn't put out the "Stop" signs or flash lights or anything.
I stopped cuz that's how I've been trained over the years.
Made me wonder if we no longer are supposed to stop?
Kinda dangerous -- what if one of the kids runs into the street???
        Anyone else have this experience???

I have heard of this also, had an incident where the arm was broke and did not work, but he stopped anyway and let the Kids off.

A Woman comming the other way, slammed on her brakes and then called it in, complained on her cell phone. They tried to disapline the driver for careless, but he showed them his maint. report copy..!  Turneds in to a political mess as I understand it.

He should have refused to take the Buss out like that I think.

10:00pm here.. and I just saw the report,

it seems the Buss driver, a female after school Driver was hard on them, making them behave, maybe a little to heavy on them, and 4 kids held back, they were the last stop near downtown comming from afterschool camp at the Y.

They planned to jump the driver and get even, this kid was armed with a knife from the cafeteria....not good

The driver caught them whispering and moving up in the seats and thought something was up and stopped the buss and called for assistance. Apparently she knew something it indicates. The rest is classified.

It appears, to me, to be the little girl I saw skipping back to the police car comming in to work tonight.

It says They are in juvenille and its not officaly released to the media it says.

2 were held two were released to their parents, and one parent is complaining against the Buss driver. So who knows.

ruff enviorment for any kid I'd say. It says 2 10 years Olds a Twelve and a Thirteen year Old in the Y Program, and take the buss all the time.

it says no other info to be released, and the rest is coded, so I can not see it at all.

thats all I got on it.

Very sad. You couldn't pay me to be a school bus driver. Kids carry knives, guns, they're violent and don't care about consequences. I heard something a couple days ago about a gun falling out of a kindergartener's pocket in the lunchroom, wounding himself and two others. Being in a classroom for 14 years, I've seen the progression of more and more aggression in children, even in middle class children. It's frightening. Many parents simply won't take the time to parent their children.

I agree rebekah, they really do not do it, and some are affraid to disipline because of the Kids claiming abuse. Its a mess of a situation for real. I do not and have and never had children, So I can not qualify to comment about raising them, but it seems to me a very hard situation to be in.

I guess from my view on things, being more formal and axiomatic,  they'd call me the parent from H... if i did have children....lol...probly not good that way either..!
