Seems Like I'm Getting New Followers Everyday

A lot of them are new. So I guess my hubs are showing up quite frequently on the front page, or something. Either way, it's not like people are following me because I've followed them. I just actually seem to be picking up one new follower every day.

Is this a compliment of my skills or is it just a lot of "Follow me, I'll follow you" on behalf of the people hitting the follow button?

Come on Sean, keep up or you will never get to 1000 pointless followers !

Most followers are the I followed you so you follow me, I even get them coming back and asking why I haven't followed them back !

If you really want loads of followers then post words that mean absolutely nothing on every thread - there are a few professionals at that here.  I mean EVERY thread, with some pointles 'yes luvvie', or 'congrats on your 50th follower' or some other @$$ licking platitude.  Works like a charm apparently big_smile

One should be along here soon I expect.

I only used the head - would you like me to cut some other piece off my panda and send it big_smile

Generally, I follow people who stand out as worth following in the forums, write good interesting hubs - and I always check out anyone who leaves me fan mail as a matter of politeness - and often follow them.  The pointelss followings are those 'for the sake of' type.  The use of followers is to get a few people started on reading your stuff when it comes out to kick start the traffic - do you really think a professional follower is going to check your stuff out of hundreds and hundreds ?

Everyone has their own reasons for following, I would guess. And certainly some of those reasons would be to try to get a follow-back. I only follow back if they've written something worth following smile

Congrats on your followers, luvvie! Oh...wait did I spell that right? Got to make sure I simper correctly.... wink

A little bit of both, but your hubs are good reads, so it would be safe to assume that's the reason. Be content, I recently was asked why I was following a particular writer, I found the question odd, but replied that I found two of the historical hubs to be good and good reads.

I'd say I get a follower a day, not all the time though. Sure most of them are just hoping for follow backs!
