New HubKarma Related Hubs Capsule

I'd like to suggest creating a separate RSS Feed Capsule which only works for Hubs.

It would work like the News Capsule - you would enter a keyword, and that would create a RSS feed of Hubs on that keyword.

That would enable it to be used for HubPages projects like HubMob or contests, and for a Hubber's own related Hubs.

I'm suggesting this because there now seems to be a limit on the number of RSS Capsules you can have on a Hub.  I discovered that because I mistakenly unpublished a Hub yesterday. When I tried to republish, I couldn't - I got the overly promotional message.

After mucking around for a while, I discovered the problem was my three RSS feeds - one to my own Hubs on the same topic, one to the 60DC project Hubs, and one to my own website. If I deleted one - and it didn't matter which one - I could republish.

As you can imagine, I'd rather delete one of the HubPages RSS feeds rather than the feed to my own website, and I'm sure that's not what HubPages intended!

Assuming HubPages still wants to encourage internal linking, it makes sense to exempt HubPages links from the RSS feed limit, and creating a separate capsule is a sensible way to do it.

I'd have to agree. There should be a separate monitor for hubpages internal linking. And an easy to use search capsule would be better for the newbies than having to figure out how to use RSS feeds and tags.

Na I disagree btw you 2 were the ones that suggested to put a news capaule in every hub and that was a total waste of time as it is now being deleted from HP. If you are going to suggest things that's great but advising noobs to follow your lead has proven to be unsuccessful. As for advising on your amazon campaign, I think that also did more harm than help, look how that evolved now. Shall I go on?

how can you criticize when you haven't written any hubs?

Once upon a time a news capsule did help with showing fresh content for Google.

Since the Google algorithm change, this is no longer a viable option. However you'll note that I no longer give this recommendation, either in the forums or in my guide hubs.

It was HubPages itself which recommended using the News Capsule on the end of Hubs to keep the content fresh - but that was before the Panda update.

The Panda Update changed many things.  I posted in this section a few weeks ago, suggesting that HP delete the News Capsule since it was no longer adding value - at the time, I was told no, but it seems they've now come to the same conclusion.

I never wrote Amazon product Hubs - but again, they worked very well before the Panda update, and advice on how to write them made sense at the time.
