   The Cowboys really need offensive line players. I have read rumors they may take Pouncey at center. This would be a good choice.

   As a team fan, I would like to see the Boys take Mark Ingram and dish Marion Barber.

   Thank god the Panthers took Newton first. I was really worried he was going to drop to my team. I'd say there's about an 80% chance Newton is a bust. Even analysts like Steve Young, who is usually a very neutral guy, have come out and said Newton doesn't have the football acumen to succeed in the NFL. I believe one person said compared to Cam Newton, JaMarcus Russell look like Peyton Manning. Newton's athleticism won't work in the NFL. His game might look similar to Michael Vick's, but they are worlds apart. Cam Newton made under 25 passes from the pocket in his entire college football career. He played his best season on one of the best teams in the country with great blocking. He's going to a Panthers team with no solid offensive weapons and no blocking.
   
   All of this rant is assuming Cam Newton has the work ethic to show up to camp prepared to play in the NFL, which he really hasn't proven so far. He won't be able to cheat his way through the playbook or the video room. Not to mention the fact that we all know the NCAA is going to strip his Heisman and Auburn's national title away at some point, just like they did with Reggie Bush. That's bad PR for Newton AND the Panthers.

   Saints taking Mark Ingram makes it look like Reggie Bush is out of the door in New Orleans. Even read about a tweet this morning that Bush believes the same.

         He was over-rated for sure coming into the NFL. He was awesome in "college football," but the Pros is a totally different scenario.

      I think Ingram is a great pick and fit for the Saints. He's probably bummed that he fell so far, but this is really a great situation for him.

   As a Vikings fan, I'm wondering what they saw in Christian Ponder at #12. That's definitely a reach right there.
   
   I'm also surprised Nick Fairley fell to #13. What a gift for the Lions. They are going to have a crazy defensive line with Suh, Fairley, and Vanden Bosch.

         I like the Lions pick of Titus Young at WR as well. He always impressed me at Boise St. He's a playmaker the Lions can use to help Calvin Johnson.
         
         Through the first three rounds, I'd have to give my props to the Lions as having the best draft to this point.

            I think you are right there. The Lions have made picks that address issues. Still a young team, but they are building the right way it appears...through the draft.

   ponders better the gabbard as just as good as locker. the raiders just got another wisnoski, steve was an awesome linemen is stefens uncle and his dad played for the colts(never heard of him)I hope bowers falls to the bucs!!!

   Two thoughts. First, what's the deal with going bat stir crazy overvaluing quarterbacks? Jake Locker at 8? Christian Ponder at 12? Under normal circumstances, these guys are second or third round picks. What gives this year? Good luck with that, Titans and Vikings. I am glad my Browns traded down and just took solid football players instead of going for sexy names. I hope they continue to do that; heck, the Patriots have done that for ten years, and look where they are at. 
   
   Second, and more importantly, who was Mr. Irrelevant this year (very last pick in the draft), and how will he fare in the NFL? Every once in awhile, Mr. Irrelevant makes the team and has a decent career. It's always a nice story when that happens.
