      I gave up coffee for health reasons but I drink pure cocoa instead and I really feel the stimulating and detoxing benefits!

   There is life, but on a very low level.  Like a giant amoeba, it shambles and stumbles through its universe (wooden structure called "home") looking for that magic black elixir.  Looking like some dreadful creature from a dark lagoon, it sloooowly fills a pot with dark granules and clean water.  Pushing the start button it falls into a chair to wait in a quiet state of nothingness while water boils and percolates.
   
   Finally.  Grabbing a cup in its clumsy paws it drags itself back to the pot at top speed, draws a draft of the magic liquid and begins to ingest it.  As it enters the creature in small sips the creature gradually transforms into a human being and, as the brain cells once more begin to activate, intelligence reappears.  A second or third cup is often necessary for full performance.

   I'm a recent convert to the Church of Coffee. Coffe Shops are my places of worship and the Keurig Coffe Maker is my Virgin Mary Statue, which I make a daily devotion to every day. (Or I would if the Keurig, much like a Virgin Mary Statue, wasn't so expensive)

   Folks, know you wake to a beverage that was blessed by the church and used by monks for energy when fasting. Politicians and Military powers to be embraced it during private meetings and the world is really a safer place because of our given affair with it...

    My parents never drink coffee and as a teenager I was so horrified by the sight of my intelligent, articulate, and energetic aunt reduced to the walking dead in the mornings before her first cup that I resolved never to touch the stuff.

    Im so glad Ive managed to avoid the coffee addiction! Though if anyone or thing tries to come between my first cup of green tea of the day, there will be he'll to pay! Have to admit I LOVE the smell of fresh brewing coffee! I could sit in Starbucks all day!

       Coffee and Diet coke is my fuel, obviously not at the same time but I get very irritable without caffeine...need at least 3 hits a day lol

    there is life before coffee, it's just extremely sleepy.  lol, just kidding.  sorry.
    
    my favorite deviation from a dark roast is espresso.  i don't really go for the sweet mochas and whatnot.  just not my cup of tea. 
    
    i've also "discovered" red bull lately.  gosh, i get so much crap from people about how unhealthy it is.
