I am a newbie here and have just posted a hub yesterday. But i'm worried about getting my adsense account approved. As i am from Bangladesh,a country nearby India, they say it takes 6 months to get adsense account approved of anyone applying from Indian subcontinent.this makes me frustrated.
But as Hubpages allows Amazon & ebay affiliate program along with adsense. So will it be a good idea if i make a try with amazon & ebay during the period i'm hanging for Adsense? or it will cost me any impediment for getting adsense approval in future? i will be so grateful if experienced hubbers can give me some suggestions.
I'd say leave the Adsense for now - it's very difficult to get approval in India or Asia without at least six months of quality work.
You shouldn't have any problem getting an Amazon affiliate account - although you'll want to write hubs based more around products if you want to earn well from that area.
Don't bother with ebay unless you own your own domain - they no longer accept applications through revenue sharing sites.
I was informed by Maddie an Adsense account was required in order to use Amazon on HP a few months ago when one of my hubs was unpublished because a moderator thought the Amazon products violated the Google Adsense TOS.
This was in response to my request to merely disable the Adsense on the page and leave the Amazon ads in place. But perhaps this has changed since then.
That's a change. I know a lot of Indian/Asian members (such as Sofs and Saleheensblog) monetized with Amazon while waiting on Adsense.
Bad change if this is true!
Given Maddie's job responsibilities to approve and disapprove, joking about that would be completely inappropriate. But what Randy is saying doesn't sound right either. There's another explanation. What is it?
All I know is that I suggested removing google ads from my account if they disagreed with my Amazon ads on the hub. She said this was not possible at the present time.
I still have the email if you doubt my word.
Aha! Penny drops.
That's not the same thing as saying you can't have an Amazon account without an Adsense account. That's just saying you can't show Amazon ads if the Adsense ads are switched off.
Under HP rules, you can only have the ads switched off if your Hub is deemed non-commercial. Clearly, it's not non-commercial if you are showing your own Amazon ads. At least, that looks like an obvious explanation to me.
That's definitely not true and I can't imagine Maddie saying such a thing. She was either having a bad day or worded it badly.
Thanks for your suggestion.but if i have an amazon affiliate account right now, will it influence google to do any trouble with my future application for adsense account?
I apparently misunderstood the response from Maddie as I went back and reread the email. I had asked if Adsense could be removed from the page instead of having to delete the alleged offending products.
She replied that I could not(at the time) use Amazon ads without using Adsense on the page. Sorry for misstating Maddie's response to me and for creating this confusion. I'm just a dumb ole country boy, it seems!

On browsing the forum, I have become aware that we can't earn on HubPages without AdSense. This is a grim realization for me.I have 29 featured hubs that are generally considered to be of reasonable quality. I applied for an AdSense account over a year ago, and since then I've had nothing. When I...

I'm trying to sign up for the earnings programs and can't because I don't have a Google AdSense account. I applied for one a few days ago but was rejected due to "insufficient content". (My account has 106 hubs, some of which do look sparse after the import.)While I'm...

I tried to add an amazon capsule to a hub the other day. Hm. No results. In fact, a search on "book" turned up no results. Very interesting. The hub tool must be broken.Later, I went to check on my Amazon earnings account and found that it had been closed. Just "closed". The...
