I was gone from Hubpages for a week or two and my hubscore went up. I come back and mess around for a little bit and my score goes down a couple of points. I think my hubs are better off without me.
I have had the same experience my hubs remain steady when I am away but keeps going up and down like a yoyo.
They love to keep us guessing, don't they? Even if your hubs don't need you around, the rest of us do. Glad you're back! Are your pageviews updating tonight? Mine haven't changed in hours even though I'd had quite a few comments which surely results in a pageview....LOL
I've only noticed because I really wanted to hit 10,000 tonight...I'm stuck at 95 more to go and I know I've gotten a bunch since it said I needed 95 a few hours ago.
I was at 91 then posted a new hub and it dropped to 88, tis really weird.
Could this have been due to the hubscore on the new hub being at 50 (or below) as they all are before they begin to get views, comments and ratings?
Dont think so because as I have not written in a few days my hubs are dropping in their score but my overall member score is now 93 lol, tis almost as weird as me. Oi I am not weird, yeah you are !
Me I keep looking at the hubbers list cause I have not found myself from 1- 500 members I got tired that was last week. But just now april 23 I was happy to see from 1 - thousand members at last I found myself at at the 19 with my score 94 I was not expecting that. But what does it mean if I belong there ? Does it mean maybe more traffic or reader? LOl . To be honest I have not checked yet if I have earnings already ore net. That I still have to study.
Same thing happened to me. I was away almost a week. When I left it was 88. When I returned, I was surprised to see that the rank had moved up to 90 in my absence - I was fearing it would gone into minus territory.
My hubs seem to be doing quite well without me.
But I read some where here that the hub scores reflect the position of a week or so before, that is they have a lag of a few days.
So if you are away really long, you score will plummet.
I try to understand the whole hubscore thing, figuring it will help me write a better hub. So I cruise other hubs and have seen some really interesting stuff with a crummy score and some real drivel with high scores. How is one to learn? It makes no sense.

I'd like to suggest we get rid of Hubber Score - and perhaps even Hub Scores. They:- are constantly misunderstood;- cause a lot of upset and grief in the forums; and- encourage newbie Hubbers to direct their efforts in entirely wrong directionsFor instance, I've known newbie Hubbers stop...

Okay, so I am asking a quiestion about my hubscore because the whole idea of a hubscore seems a little cryptic to me at this point. Yesterday I passed the 75 threshold for the first time. And today I saw my score rise to 76. I was happy. Then later when I was thinking about...

This is what I have observed with my hubscore. After publishing a hub and leaving comments on other hubs, I get lots of traffic but the hubscore falls by the hour. When I stay away from HubPages for a few days, and the traffic drops to nothing, the hubscore starts to climb and reaches an all-time...

OK, this is weird.I have five times as many fans, my average score across my Hubs is consistently 69 or 70, I have a whole lot more Hubs, yesterday I brought a rush of traffic from outside to one of my Hubs, and I have progressed from "Prodigy" to "Expert". I have been...

Hello folksI only produced a couple of Hubs the other day, and I've been delighted by the friendly feedback. I've discovered that my profile score is 81. What does this mean? Is it good?I know I should probably search the faqs to find out, but this is a much more sociable way of asking. Thanks in...
