I'm so excited! I decided to announce it myself, since it appears I'll never get an accolade for anything important, although I have a level 6 for my comments, how dumb is that? Also, explain to me how people who run a site do not understand their own algoritm? Math is exact. I would appreciate a little honesty on Hubpages from the staff, and feel we are being strung along, such as with the April contest. I'm deciding whether to pull my stuff off. And I'm sick of getting "brokenlinks" on hubs that have no links. That's enough ranting for a bit.

      Hi Jean:

Ditto from me as well, on the congrats about reaching this milestone. It's quite an accomplishment to feel good about, isn't it? I have about 1200 more views to catch up to you, but don't stop at that mark, keep hammering away on the keyboard to reach the 100 K mark and beyond.

      1) You don't really expect HP to publish their algorithm so that spammers can engineer loopholes, do you? However, your remark may be quite appropriate if directed toward Google.

      2) I might have been too busy writing in April to notice what you're talking about. Since more than 80% of my writing is for the contests, would you explain that or point me to discussion of it? Thanks. And congrats on the milestone.

I do not expect HP to publish the algorithm, but I expect honesty, and do not believe the "team" has been honest with the many hubbers who put hours of work into HP, and made no money since the changes. I feel we are being strung along, and that the April contest, and now those comment ratings accolades are only distractions, them throwing us a bone.. I understand time and less spam will ultimately make HP better, there was alot of garbage on here. But many long time people have taken down years worth of hubs. So do they know something we don't, and is it worth it to stay with it & hope to make some money?I only participated in the April contest.  I have not read your contest pieces, but I read two books on Greek mythology to write 10 pieces. One man won for two egg recipes, when recipes, acai berry, and six pak abs were topics made taboo. Many of the pieces were good and deserving, but some were full of typos and poor spelling. I didn't believe it was conducted fairly. Thanks on the congrats. I still did not get an accolade for the over 10K readers I achieved days ago, but had one today for over 100 followers. Perhaps one of the accolades was deleted, but that one was important to me. I have several hubs that are not doing well, and want to take them down, but don't want to miss the accolade if there is still one, because they did have readers that add to my total.  I only made $20 in 7 mos. of hard work, and feel indecisive about staying. Best wishes to you.

Congratulations, Jean!  It really is an exciting milestone.

I don't think HP checks each hubber every day to see if they should get a new accolade, but a week seems a little long, too.  I'm sure it will come, though - give it a little time.

Maybe only Julian Assange knows the algorithm. We must find him.

Well, it's a big mystery, somebody must know. I thought Assange a good choice. It used to make me laugh because the news would say he could never be found, insinuating this life on the run, living like a vagabond. Then in every pic I see, he's at a huge black tie event. Perhaps he keeps his dress clothing in a cave?

Thank you all so much! The best thing about HP is "meeting" so many nice people, I feel motivated again!

Congrats, Im annoyed that some spammers have reached that million accolade but Im sure I will eventually, my traffic is back up to 2000 a day, 1000 coming from 1 hub smile

I do believe that the site is getting rid of spammers and hubs with no content, and we can help with that! Congrats to you, I never had 1000 views from one hub, not too shabby. I just learned how to do RSS feeds, and I'm afraid now all my hubs will get pulled off or something. Best Wishes to you and hang in ther.

Thanks, Jean, for clarifying several points. I understand a lot better where you are coming from and share many of those concerns.

I can verify that you will not lose any accolade numbers if you unpublish hubs. There are many who have pulled pack partially or completely, and their accolades remain unless they asked in some way to be removed.

The April contest was in planning before Panda struck. Recipes are not forbidden, but I agree with you wholeheartedly on just about every other point.

I intend to wean myself from the forums for awhile, so might not notice any replies.
