I just activated my Hub Ad program early this week. I was able to compare my earnings with my sister's. I noticed that the number of views does not necessarily mean more earnings. Why is that? If that is the case, then what really determines your earnings from hub ad program?
it depends on the type of niches/keywords of your hubs. The topic determines the ads displayed in your hubs. Although I have seen lots of hostgator ads to my cooking, parenting, pregnancy etc hubs.
It probably has a lot to do with how long people stay on the page of the hub as well as how much the advertiser bids.
I see. When I clicked the earnings of Hub Ad Program, I see CPM and Impressions. What do those mean?
Impressions are the number of views your hubs received that were usable by the program.
CPM is the average earnings per 1000 impressions.
thanks. For these past few days I can't see my earnings. They said they have some technical difficulties so the processing will be delayed.
I have also noticed that with the HP ad program more impressions do not seem to correlate to more earnings.
When I graphed my impressions, and earnings I noticed that some days with peak impressions actually had the lowest earnings!
It seems like HP ads might be normalizing my earnings and not allowing me to take advantage of traffic peaks.
It would be helpful if HP would provide more details as to exactly how earnings are derived from this program. If anyone has any links that explain this in more detail please share them.

I keep an eye on my stats daily. I noticed a sharp decline in my earnings for yesterday, April 10th. I know it is wrong. Has anyone else been affected by this yesterday? Who do I need to speak with about this? Thanks.

This month my CPM for the HP Ad Program is super low. It's been under $1.50 every day so far. And last month I had a lot of days where it was under $2. Wondering why that is and if it's just happening to me or if others are experiencing this as well.

Hi,I might sound silly for asking this question, but I could not really understand what CPM is (I read an article, but I'm not good with these things). I know it has to do with the impact that my articles have in terms of views. Although I don't know if "impressions" is the same thing as...

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...

Some people have said they've turned off HP Ads and just use Adsense and actually make more money from Adsense. I'm considering trying that out and was curious how much more some of you are making just through Adsense. Fifty percent more? Twice as much? Triple? Quadruple?
