I love being able to set links in my hubs to open in a new window.  The linking tool has changed and I cannot find that function?  How do I make that setting now?

Thank you, my friend. I thought we were at the Eiffel Tower, but am suspecting this is the Tower of Pisa.

That's life?  Really.  No secret hiding place for advance options somewhere?

Here is something you may find useful:

This is VERY useful!  Thank you so much.  I get a little nervous when it comes to using html but this is important enough to learn how to do it!

You are most welcome. I have a vague suspicion - not based in knowledge - that the reduced feature has to do with value of links from a search engine perspective. Namely, that links that send the visitor off to the destination are considered more "genuine" than those that merely splits the visitor's browser into two windows or tabs. Good luck, in any case.

I haven't searched enough to find all of the threads where this has been discussed before, but I do remember one comment from a staff member about this - possibly Paul Deeds, but I'm not sure.  It may have been from Jason.

The comment was that since this option is available in browsers nowadays (all of them, maybe?), it was not considered to be necessary to offer it as an option in the HP capsules.  The topic stirred up quite a lot of comments, especially from those who wanted to keep the feature.

Found!  It was Jason, but Paul D. was also in there, adding more insight.  I never did follow the links Jason provided, but I'm pumped now.  I think I'll check them out. smile

EDIT:  Old articles (1999 and 2005) but good information.  Basically they both say that forcing the link to open in a new window interferes with good user experience.  If the user makes that choice on their own, that's a different story.  That's it in a nutshell.
