AdSense -- chasing my tail

   When I attempt to submit my AdSense application I get a message that says an account already exists with my email address but when I attempted to log in to AdSense (already logged into google) it says wrong ID and password. 
   
   When I try to link to AdSense from Hup Pages I get a message that says the last 5 digits of my phone number and/or zip are wrong. 
   
   Basically, I can't apply because my email already exists but I can't access because none of my information corresponds.
   
   Any help is greatly appreciated.

   Google AdSense has a password reset feature. You may want to try that.

      Thanks for the speedy reply.
      When I try to reset my password I'm always redirected to google -- not AdSense.  I think I've reset my google password a few times today.  After that, the window to log into google AdSense appears and I use the same email address and same password and no luck.  So weird and frustrating and I'm typically terrible at these things like my eyes are allergic to directions. 
      
      Is it possible that I've somehow initiated an AdSense account but it's incomplete so I'm stuck in some kind of AdSense netherworld?

   You can check the status of your AdSense account here. If it shows "active," then - well - it has been activated. If it is still being processed, there should be some indication to that effect.

      Ok, this is so helpful -- thank you.
      When I follow the first link and I say YES I do have an account (which I don't think I do) that's when my email address doesn't jive with last 5 digits of my phone # and/or zip (I did double check my google account and all is correct).
      
      When I say NO and try to create account it tells me one already exists with my email.  This all happens on Hub.
      
      When I try to access from my google account I get:
      You're signed into your Google Account but this is not a valid AdSense login. If you're an AdSense Publisher, try signing in using your AdSense email and password.
      
      When I follow the second link it says the account does not exists because the email hasn't been verified and to refer to an email I should have gotten -- but did not. It says if I didn't get the email to "use the form below" but there is no form.  So then I try to just start over with a new application and that's when it says an account with my email already exists with my email and I'm unable to submit my application.  I wasn't lying about this tail chasing.  Thanks so much for hanging with me through this!

   This problem, however frustrating, is not unprecedented. Very likely, you can find similar threads on the AdSense support forums, where you can also post your issue if you like.
   
   You could contact HubPages and ask them for help to find out what is the current status of your AdSense application, according to their records. Usually, they do not give support concerning AdSense issues, but if something has been messed up on their end, they may be able to clear the affiliate information and enable you to start over.

   I have experienced problems with my links disappearing, and so have other users. If links are missing, that is the reason.
