Question from a newbie: How do you get noticed on Hubpages?

   Any advice from the Hubpages veterans on how to develop a following? Thanks in advance

      You have already been noticed.
      Be patient, you have only been here 6 days!! You can try some of the following methods. But you will mainly develop a following through what you write about. You can become an expert in one or two niches so people have  to refer to your hubs for advice and knowledge.
      
      Write hubs that may help other hubbers.
      
      Take part daily in the forums.
      
      Try doing some of the contests.
      
      Leave insightful and thoughtful comments on people you follow.
      
      Cause trouble with your comments in the religious forum.
      
      Ask questions and reply to others.
      
      Follow people who you like and leave fan mail.
      
      It's Ok to disagree with fellow hubbers, but be respectful at all times.

   Without causing trouble in the religious forum court a little cotroversy which always gets you noticed!
   
   You would be suprised how many people like to see good debate
   
   16 followers in 6 days seems to be a great start tho!

   the most important thing to remember is do NOT send nude pictures of yourself to other Hubbers...
   
   I tried that and my Hubscore dropped to -45

   As long as your landing gear is different than the Greek One's - then photos are generally accepted
   
   It seems it actually was not a really Cold Day the day he was snapped
   
   Besides... his photo was not Original and had been Digitally Enhanced to create the appearance that he was of larger stature!

   Of course.. Marketing.. Yes.. Sorry, that's what that US Politician Weener said as well, when he got caught 'fertering' his frank online!
   
   I don't think his wife believed him though.. I think she recognized his buns!
   
   Mind you..... with a name like that, he would be well known at baseball matches, I guess.

   Your forum post has done a lot to get you noticed. We are all part of a community so posting to the forum brings your name to people's attention.
   I don't follow the religious forum posts but do know from some hubs they can get controversial. I actually gained a follower by placing a comment on a hub discussing a religious topic.
   I am a christian but don't see any point in forcing my way of thinking on anyone.
   I really enjoyed the hub of yours I read, like the one who commented above me I also read if from beginning to end.
   Keep up the good work and I will be looking forward to seeing more.

   Getting noticed is one thing. Being in the forums, answering or asking questions will definitely do that.
   
   Getting followers is another. Writing rich, high quality content will have persons wanting to read more of your work and will definitely gain you some fans.

    I knew a lady a long time ago... she wasn't a friend, I just knew her, and she made her car seat covers from roadkill cats. And her name was Cat, which was funny because she hated cats. I thought her seat covers were pretty until I asked her what kind of fur it was, and then when I looked, there was some calico, some striped, etc.
    
    Something like that will get you noticed, but I don't advise it.

    Just a note:  I do volunteer work with the local pound.  I don't use products that have been tested on animals and I'm a quasi vegetarian.  I would not really ever consider making a coat... or any other article of clothing or food... out of kittens.
    
    Exhusbands, yes, kittens no.
    
    You can share the fame with me Mark, lord knows I don't need any more money.

       There are a couple of ex wives who would love a coat made out of my skin. They both said I made a good boy friend and lover but once the wedding bells rang I made a lousy husband. I think a lot of this had to do with once I said I do, they started saying I don't.
       
       Caution never marry a woman who likes drinking and drugs better than men.
       A word of advice if you smoke cigarettes never marry a woman who can't stand the smell of them.
