Er... One time, about a month ago, my cat decided, for some unknown reason, to pee in a candle I had in my office.

      I didn't notice.

I lit it.  A short time after, the aromatic smell of orange and cat pee wafted through the air.

A week later, I had his nuts cut off.  neutral

My third husband was a wannabe country singer who had friends in really, really low places.  Every so often he and his buddies would party hardy in our Winnebago and the putrid smell of beer, vomit, and urine would linger for days after.

gaahhh.  why did I come here?  I SO hate bad smells.  The worst smell in summer is of wildfires burning - it turns into the smell of fear and I lose sleep worrying about the fires.  This year will be one of the worst since the grasses and undergrowth have grown so much from the wet winter - I can only pray people are very, very careful.

Ew!  This thread needs to be turned around, doesn't it..    It smells great where I am.  The windows are open, and the night air is nice and fresh.  I have a reed-diffuser room scenter (some kind of citrus and spice scent).  (A nice, new, pot of coffee has the kitchen smelling like new coffee.)  So for now, all is pretty right with the world (at least as far as scents go).  (Don't ask me about a lot of the other stuff in my world, though.  Some of that is a-whole-nother thing, although none it involves bad smells.. roll)

Good, because I couldn't post it on the Internet.  smile  I mainly wanted to make the point that I'm incredibly miserable in a lot of ways  (roll) - even if I'm living it up and all thrilled with things as far as scents go.  smile

Skunks are pretty bad, but not as bad as a dead, or dying mouse.  Eeewwwwww. big_smile

For some reason, I've never smelled "skunk" my whole life.  I don't know..  I must have some kind of olfactory immunity to it (or something), because I'll be with someone who says, "Eeew!  Skunk!!" - and I never smell it.  Once I was walking at night, and a skunk was about five feet away from me in the road.  It started looking and sounding like it was doing its thing.  I had to ask my son if he noticed anything when I got home, because I didn't know if I'd been sprayed or not.  (Apparently, not.  smile )

The smell outside the window right now is pretty good, we have just had a shower of rain, the grass has been cut and the orange blossom smells just fantastic with the breeze.

In half an hour my "prison" time will be over for today. I will leave the office, go outside and smell the big city I live in - all of it, good and bad.
