Here is an article with Fair sources, I thought this might open a discussion on this? Your answers are appreciated.

    The Article:

Arab Revolutions' melt all that was solid into air

    Article by John Rose

An official banner celebrating Egypt’s Revolution at Cairo Airport tells of “Egyptians making history again… what else is new?”

Allegedly the author of this insight is Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi. His portrait, and that of US president Barack Obama, serve as a warning that the revolution’s fate is far from settled.

Western politicians are falling over each other to support the “Arab Revolution”. But for them “support” means “control”.

This explains the cynical Nato intervention in Libya, the weasel words of sympathy for the heroic demonstrators in Syria, and the £1.8 billion International Monetary Fund aid package just agreed with the interim military government in Egypt.

But their control is by no means assured. They are puffing to keep up with events which, as a worried US secretary of state Hillary Clinton noted, are being “decided on the ground.”

In fact, Western leaders’ behaviour may help deepen the revolution. “Moderate” Arab leaders were dismayed by Obama’s failure to confront Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu last month over settlement expansion in the West Bank. The “moderates” are desperate to prevent Palestine becoming engulfed in the Revolution.

It was probably too late anyway. The liberation of Palestine and the Arab Revolution are intertwined. The connection has been boosted by the new Egyptian government’s refusal to guarantee gas supplies to Israel, and the opening of the Rafah crossing on the Egypt-Gaza border. Their promotion of the Fatah-Hamas unity agreement has ratcheted up Palestinian self-confidence.

    Unity

The significance of the agreement doesn’t lie in a common negotiating front, but in a sense of unity on the ground. Hence the threat of further mass mobilisations of refugees—as on Nakba day—alongside mass demonstrations by Palestinians in the occupied territories and even inside Israel.

But the same Egyptian government ordered troops to fire on demonstrators at the Israeli embassy on Nakba Day—a sign that the revolution must remain in the hands of the people making it if it is to succeed.

The cynicism and hypocrisy of Western leaders claiming affinity with Arab demonstrators beggars belief. They conveniently forget that the reason for this late flowering of Arab democracy results directly from Western domination and humiliation of the Arab world throughout the last century.

They deliberately fragmented the region, drawing artificial borders and imposing puppet monarchies and dictators, often literally around oil wells, for the West’s convenience. Then they added insult to injury by imposing a European Jewish colony in British occupied Palestine, at the heart of the Arab world, guaranteed to inflame religious sensitivities and deliberately tied to Western interests.

Anyone who doesn’t understand that the Arab democratic revolution has also to be about this simply doesn’t understand it all. But the Arab Revolution has a further feature set to terrify Western leaders even more. The struggle for democracy may be the first demand of the revolution, but don’t lose sight of the emerging demand for equality.

There is revulsion and fury throughout the Arab world at the enormous gulf between rich and poor, the large scale looting of the peoples’ wealth by Arab dictators, their families and pals, with Western banks and governments as their accomplices.

Here it is Egypt’s workers who are in the lead. It is not just that Egypt’s workers have already made a breakthrough by beginning to establish free and independent trade unions. It is also that their demands have potentially dangerous revolutionary implications for capitalist classes everywhere.

From the demand to evict the little Mubarak foremen and manager bullies from workplaces and establish some degree of rank and file control to the call for a maximum as well as a minimum wage, it is already clear that there can be a further revolution within the revolution.

For the moment it is nameless. But providing the masses of ordinary people maintain the momentum, creating those “facts on the ground”, in time they will discover its name.

The people do not need us. And in fact--who would want us? Besides the big wig thieves that steal just like our big wigs do!

It's really true! People have had enough. And there are more of "Us" than of "Them".

Watch for the next Flotilla to Gaza....if the IDF decides to murder any more Americans...you think we will finally have had enough?

They can't stop this tidal-wave. And they can't fool US anymore either...though they try.

The make-believe history we have been fed has given way to "Believe you, or what I see with my own eyes".

Sorry psy-oppers....I belive what I see.

They attacked those soldiers, and got what they deserved. What about the IDF soldier they threw over-board and critically injured him? The IDF and Israel had made arrangements with the floatilla people to let them  run the blockade and make their protest, and then when the IDF boarded they would peacefully turn back.

Then the Muslims on board betrayed that plan and attacked with pipes and chains and threw the IDF guy over-board and continued to attack the others. Watch the video.

That is a lie. They attacked no one. They were attacked, and that American kid was shot in the head as he lay on the deck.

And now another freedom flotilla is on the way....as I said: you cannot stop this tidal wave.

It is only natural: keep people down long enough and they will revolt.

And the earth is revolting too.

In fact, it's a cosmic thing....way bigger than any religion or ideology.

It has to touch your heart. Let it.

Me to Chris, I see it. It is really about Equality, and not a US Influenced Goverment, and those folks know it to.

Well I guess we will see how equal and democratic it all turns out in a couple years. Anyone wanna bet money? I say that it will end as another Islamc theocracy, where woman, homosexuals and minority religions are abused on a daily basis.

          Lemme know... your all sure.

Those people do not care if it is democratic or republic, or monarchy, as long as it is equal TM, go there- invest in an airplane ride and see it for yourself.

it is about being opressed by Dictators and your rights taken. They can see even an Islamic nation, but with real gauranteed  Freedoms in its structure.  They are changing TM, we need to accept it.

The US Better wake up, or by our own stupidity, we will isolate and cut ourselves off. we hang on to ideas that we need to control thier Goverment.

Those folks do not want this kind of influense. they Know the US is strong and can be a great ali, but they want no outside controls, just equal trade and monitary value. And a friendship that is not controling them, or manipulating thier Goverment for US only interest.

Thier Goverments know well we will spend for Oil, they also know the truly need income. They would cut thier own throat if they refused to deal. They already know all of this.

I have seen it. And those people over there are interested in Islamic Law not equality, unless you know about some aspect of Al'Sharia I do not? But I doubt that very much.

And the fact their money, and trade, is not equal, is no ones fault but theirs. You have to build a strong economy and produce a good product, in order to accomplish that.

And some isolation would not bother me, I am a "non- interventionalist", not an isolationist, but I wish we would close the borders, cease all nation-building, clean our own house, and cease intervening in matters of other nations which do not concern us.

And they know, they want our money and arms, also.

If we have no interest there,... then we should not be there. Let them live in the worlds they create for themselves.

It will not be the "people" in charge, it will be the Islamic Imams and Scolars.

"Then they added insult to injury by imposing a European Jewish colony in British occupied Palestine, at the heart of the Arab world, guaranteed to inflame religious sensitivities and deliberately tied to Western interests."

This is the biggest bunch of BS in the article, among the rest of the BS...

The Jews were given back Israel as punishment of the Arab world, and Palistine in particular, for their partnership in the World Wars, both I and II, especially after WWII, for Amin Al'Husiani and the Bosnian and Palistinian SS units and Islam's role ithe Holocaust.

Which is why they, Islam, deny it, the holocoust, so fervently.

    http://www.tellthechildrenthetruth.com/amin_en.html

1935- "Amin Al-Husseini is main organizer of riots. [xvii]   He organizes suicide squads against the local authorities.  Applies Nazi methodology of “systematic extermination” of any Arab suspected of less than total loyalty to Pan-Islamic vision of Muslim Brotherhood.

Any “non-Islamic” element is a threat to his Pan-Islamic vision.

Many Muslim and Christian Palestinian intellectual leaders and clerics assassinated for protesting Husseini’s Islamic terror.

    1936-1938. Murdered by Husseini’s men:

Sheikh Daoud Ansari ( Imam of Al Aqsa Mosque),  Sheikh Ali Nur el Khattib (Al Aqsa Mosque), Sheikh Nusbi Abdal Rahim (Council of Muslim Religious Court), Sheikh Abdul el Badoui (Acre, Palestine), Sheikh El Namouri (Hebron), Nasr El Din Nassr  (Mayor of Hebron).  Between Feb. 1937 and Nov 1938, Eleven (11) Mukhtars (community leaders) and their entire families slain by Amin al Husseini’s men.

And it goes on and on.

History holds the truth to why the Jews were given Israel back as a homeland. The rest of the world had proven beyond doubt that the Jews were not safe in anyone else's country.

That is why the Balfur declaration was not enforced till after WWII, and yes the oil is why this aspect of history was supressed, so as to keep the world from hating Islam and the Muslims as they did the Germans and Japanese after the war.

Oil played a part in it... but not the part you all think. It played a part in the covering up of history and bought the muslims a chance to redeem themselves... and they threw it away in WWII

Revisionist history will not do in this situation... the truth must be told. We as a world CANNOT forget what evil is, and has been. Or we are doomed to repeat it.

God Bless Israel and the United States Of America!

    TM, you words:

"It will not be the "people" in charge, it will be the Islamic Imams and Scolars."

Self serving Fear mongering from an Internet TEA Party Plant, nothing more!"

We are to far advanced a society to allow resurecting the John Burch Society, we see through this well.

      No. It is a fact.

Islam gives its leadership to the Imams and Scholars and Jurists, not the people. Allah rules Islam and the Ummah, not the people. And allah's law is intepreted and expounded by the Imams and jurists, not the people.

The structure of Islamic society is set forth in the Qu'ran and Hadith by Mohhammud and allah, not the people.

      Simple.

And I am not a Tea Partier, but I do understand what they are saying and want. Limited govt, no bailouts for the industries and term limits so no one person or family can make a career out of Public Office, enforced border control and to enforce our immigration laws, and for the people to re-gain control of thier own Schools and Govts.

      Pretty simple agenda.

And it is funny how anything that doesn't tow the Liberal Leftist line that those uprisings are about freedom and Democracy, is fear mongering.

      Sure it is.

Like I said, we will see, Dutch. If you think the Muslim Brotherhood is about democracy and freedom... then you don't know the Muslim brotherhood. And that is a simpe fact.

      http://www.tellthechildrenthetruth.com/mbhood_en.html

And we know that the Islamists and the Leftists Marxian Ideologues have been joined at the hip for a century. And that includes the American Leftists and Progressives,

In his book Social Justice in Islam Qutb discussed a range of issues, including Communism of which he wrote:

Similarly we have no good grounds for any hostility between Islam and the struggle for social justice, such as the hostility which persists between Christianity and Communism. For Islam prescribes the basic principles of social justice and establishes the claim of the poor to the wealth of the rich; it lays down a just principle for power and money and therefore has no need to drug the minds of men and summon them to neglect their earthly rights in favor of their expectations in heaven.

In discussing the connection between the economic ideals of Communism with his views on Islam, Qutb wrote: “…while Communism is compelled to oppose religion in order to safeguard the rights of the workers, we have no need of any such hostility to religion.”1
