Yes, I find HP extremely addictive..even after five months.
I left my stats alone. I usually just take a peek but other than that, I leave them alone.
Coincidentally and for the first time ever I have only just written a hub on this. It's not very good.
Coincidentally, I wrote a hub about you writing a hub about it. It is also not very good
Well, I wasn't gonna look at my stats today... but since y'all brought it up, I decided to check. Dang. Now I'm not gonna be able to rest 'till I know I've gotten 1000 vies by the end of the first week.
Dammit.
Well, I expect mine is worse than yours.
This gets harder by the way...
Seriously.
10 followers in a day... then none... I feel like a day trader.
SELL!!! SELL!!!! SELL!!!
I probably should say something reassuring and welcoming.
It's not really my thing though. Hey ho. You'll get there, wherever there is.
On topic. Stats are not very important but they are addictive.
Beware the blue triangles...
Blue triangles show against your hubs when traffic is lower than the day before. Freaked me out when I first saw them. Thought I had lost the love.
Now of course I welcome them. At least SOMETHING happened.
I like the pictures you use for your articles. Quite original.
Thanks Mr Yo. I needed that. Someone said they were like a two year olds doodlings. Knocked me out of my stride for a while.
Mark, in your article you mentioned an author who wrote 12 articles per day. Would you mind sharing who that person is? I'm quite curious. I enjoy seeing different styles of writing.
I have the same problem!!
I'm slowly weening myself off the hubs for specific times of the day. It's going to take time but I feel I can get there
Woohoo a couple of double red triangles today!!
When I made this account all I could do was check stats.
But about 2 months later, I stopped.
So don't worry - it'll pass.
woohoo! I just checked again and I made my first PENNY($0.01) on hubpages!
Now you know you can make SOME money here, you may be able to drop the stats obsession!
The first penny is sweetest! Welcome to hubpages, I hope you stay and grow.
Thanks for welcoming me! That penny almost made me jump out of my seat when I first saw it!
I obsessed with checking my stats after I first joined, and slowly the desire began to wane. Not because I was no longer interested, it was just that the newness finally wore off, and I had other things to do, like...go the the bathroom, eat, etc.
Welcome to Hubpages!!! Here you'll find a great community of people...like the ones who responded to your forum post! Happy Hubbing!!!!
Didn't any one warn you that HP, features and all, were addictive?
No. I found this site by myself online. I found a bunch of answers/questions and hubs regarding how addicting hubpages is though.

Hub stats has not one, but 2 red triangles, what does this mean?Alright I know the blue triangle/arrow means traffic is dropping, and the red ones mean traffic has increased, but what does two red ? mean? Also, what is the time frame used to determine if traffic has increased or decreased?

How come on the "stats" there is a tab for checking eBay, but not for Amazon?I like to check my sales on Amazon as well as eBay, but under the "stats" there is only info for eBay.

How much time do you spend checking hub stats: page views, feedback, traffic sources, etc?Sometimes I think I would be better off spending less time checking my stats and more time writing. Other times I think I should check my stats because they let me know how my hubs are doing and I can use this...

When you log into HP for the first time in a day, what do you look for first? Stats, comments, other posts, what?I look at the comments next to my userpic so that if I am able I can reply to that first. Then I look at the most recent notifications. After that I switch over to HP email.
