Is that your real hair color?  That is just awesome!  I always wanted blue hair but never had the courage to dye my hair.

I left my stats alone. I usually just take a peek but other than that, I leave them alone.

Coincidentally and for the first time ever I have only just written a hub on this.  It's not very good.

Well, I wasn't gonna look at my stats today... but since y'all brought it up, I decided to check.  Dang.  Now I'm not gonna be able to rest 'till I know I've gotten 1000 vies by the end of the first week.

      Dammit.

          Seriously.

10 followers in a day... then none...  I feel like a day trader.

I probably should say something reassuring and welcoming.

It's not really my thing though.  Hey ho.  You'll get there, wherever there is.

On topic. Stats are not very important but they are addictive.

            Beware the blue triangles...

Blue triangles show against your hubs when traffic is lower than the day before.  Freaked me out when I first saw them.  Thought I had lost the love.

Now of course I welcome them.  At least SOMETHING happened.

Thanks Mr Yo.  I needed that.  Someone said they were like a two year olds doodlings.  Knocked me out of my stride for a while.

Mark, in your article you mentioned an author who wrote 12 articles per day.  Would you mind sharing who that person is?  I'm quite curious.  I enjoy seeing different styles of writing.

When I made this account all I could do was check stats.
But about 2 months later, I stopped.

    So don't worry - it'll pass.

I obsessed with checking my stats after I first joined, and slowly the desire began to wane. Not because I was no longer interested, it was just that the newness finally wore off, and I had other things to do, like...go the the bathroom, eat, etc.

Welcome to Hubpages!!! Here you'll find a great community of people...like the ones who responded to your forum post! Happy Hubbing!!!!

I guess it's safe to call this obsession the newbie syndrome.

People are great here and I love it.

No.  I found this site by myself online.  I found a bunch of answers/questions and hubs regarding how addicting hubpages is though.

      1. Greg Sage profile image40
Greg Sageposted 12 years agoin reply to this

They all lie.  There's nothing addictive here.  No one cares about their stats.

Read all my hubs, vote them up, follow me, and find out why.
