No one seems to be addressing this so I thought I'd make a new post and bring it to light.
While using IE9 if you go to import a picture from a URL, nothing shows up to let you insert the URL.
And if you go to upload a second picture then it makes your view jump up to the top of the page and then when you scroll down you see you can't upload a pic.
If you click save then sometimes it does that grayed out background and you can't save anything.
REALLY a hassle to have to use Firefox just to write on here anymore... this has been going on for a few days now. Most people still use Internet Explorer (as I can see from my Analytics stats) but it seems like the designers are all about making sure it works on Firefox first?
I was having all kinds of problems with IE9 and switched to chrome. Since then I have not had any problems at all.
I prefer IE9... they've come a long way... It's just that most sites were made to work with their old browsers which let a lot of stuff slide that wasn't up to code.
This browser is just a couple points below Firefox on the Acid3 test... In fact I just checked now and without using the default settings this browser still has a 95 out of 100.
I'm not going to start using a new browser just because of one site... coders and developers need to start editing and checking their sites mainly on IE 9, because Internet Explorer still is the most popular browser...
32% of people viewing my hubs this past month are using Internet Explorer. (59% are still on IE 8 but 23% use IE 9)
29% use Firefox and only 19% use Chrome.
If uploading pictures works with Firefox, Chrome, and Opera (I know Opera works 'cause that's what I use), are we sure it isn't IE9 that needs to be fixed, rather than HP?
Perhaps there is something in IE that is way different than the rest and it is obviously a hassle for people to edit their sites around it.
But it's what's out there now and who knows when they'll put out a new browser.
Either way I posted this so that they would fix the issue so that people don't have to switch and try to get use to a new browser... not to debate which browser is better.
I don't like using Firefox... for many reasons I won't name because this post isn't about that.
Yeah, I didn't mean to fan the browser war flames, but it *is* possible the IE9 has a bug and needs to be fixed. I agree with your sentiment about not changing browsers for 1 site. The new Yahoo Mail doesn't support Opera for some reason, giving me the option to "upgrade" to IE, Firefox, or Chrome. Yet if I force Yahoo to accept my browser, it seems to work just fine.
I downloaded IE9 and don't like it at all.Now I wish I could have 8 back but cant find it for windows 7,just XP and vista.9 is very jittery and jumps around allot. Also can't publish cause the spellcheck in capsule just says Toggle and the browser spellcheck blanks the capsule.I'm lost without my spellcheck.Staff said they turned a ticket in to engineering days ago.Just checked it again and the problems still there.I miss my IE8,it did everything I needed.Oh well,at least y'all get a break from my writing lol.
Yeah I didn't like it at first either until I moved a bunch of stuff around... I still miss having that second search bar though. Other than that and the tabs being so easy to accidently close, I love it!

^I checked here and can't find one for Windows 7 either hmm
Oh and I don't know what causes the spell check thing for you because it doesn't do it for me. But I'm on Vista 64 bit so it might be slightly different.
