   While Sara Palin was contemplating if it would be more profitable to run or not to run,for her economic future that is, which is obviously the only thing that matters to her, a star was born. Michele Bachmann, must've gone to presidential candidate university and prepared herself real well, because she is looking like the most capable and attractive presidential candidate on the republican side by far except for chris christie and he is definitely not running.If Sarah Palin should decide to run ,the inevitable comparison would make her look even more unprepared than the last time around.

         to tell you the truth I don't think there's any 2016 in sarah palin's future if she doesn't run there were already credibility issues before this election cycle if she sits it out I'm not saying  there's not a great future ahead for her , but it won't be in  electoral politics.

      All candidates have to decide if it would be profitable for their political futures. I see nothing to infer that is all Palin cares about. Bachman is smart, always has been, nothing new there. The problem is Bachman and Palin are smarter than the average American, or as is so evident, the average news reporter, who keep getting shown up by both of them.

   "She's giving hypocrisy a bad name," said Ron Pollock, executive director of Families USA, a consumer health care advocacy group, when asked about the Medicaid payments to Bachmann & Associates.       Some have suggested Palin is planning to run for the Senate in Arizona (or possibly Congress).
      That would get her into the national scene rather than sitting it out.
      But 2012 would be a bad move on her part. Actually, running any year would be a bad move for her, but that's just my opinion .
      
      Agree with the OP that Bachmann seems to have aced candidate school. She sounds a lot better these days. But she's still making gaffes and is being held to scrutiny.
      
      A concerning thought: Bill Clinton said nice things about her (admittedly, they were centered on her taking in those 23 foster kids). Like that is the only training one needs to run the United States? Seriously?

      Clinton the only Democrat to win a second term in how many decades???
      Although I wish Hillary had won, I think Obama gave Hillary the right job (better than VP which is way less powerful).
      There's really only 1 issue that can bring Obama down and that's the economy. And that happens to be a subject Mr. Clinton knows a thing or two about. So yes, he'd be prudent to seek out his counsel.
      Why is it there is no Democrat equivalent of Karl Rove, I keep wondering????

Another rumor. Dems and liberals (with credibility) spend more time making corrections to the stories spread by right wing nutcases like Beck, Limbaugh and so one. Bill Clinton has to be one of most most successful politicians since Teddy Roosevelt and seems to have just as much or more clout now than when he was in the White House.

   that's what i was trying to say before , there are rove equivalents in the democratic party , but most of them are on  clinton's corner, so unless there is a truly unified alliance within the democratic party between the two centers of power which are the clintons on one side and ted kennedy's represented by obama on the other the republicans are given an advantage.

    karl rove is a progressive  and a liberal, everybody who is not a right wing extremist loon is a socialist, you can not be serious, the damage these people are inflicting on the republican party may be too big to overcome, and if a serious third party candidate which is very possible may emerge decides to run it will not only guarantee obama's reelection it will also determine the demise of the republican party as a party able to win a presidential election, only because the party base keeps shrinking.they sure talk a lot about reagan, meanwhile reagan managed to not only broaden the base of the party but also attract independent voters, moderates and what is unthinkable today reagan democrats, can you even imagine talking about bachman democrats , or santorum democrats ,or whatever republican democrats?

       Rove is a Progressive, and they are not Republicans... they just play the role and have had control of the party for a century now. They have helped to skew this whole country Left of center for way too long, and way too far.
       
       If you think Romney, Bush, Rove, Perry, or any of the establishmoen Republicans- are true Republicans, or Conservatives... then you do not know a thing about our poilitical spectrum.
       
       Republicans are right of center... Progressives at most can be called Centrists, and that is giving them credit they do not deserve.
       
       This country has gone way too far to the Left in the last Century, and we are a failing nation because of those policies pushed by the Socialist Liberal Democrat/Progressive Agenda. Open Borders, Centralized Authority, Welfare State, un-enforced Laws, Bailouts and subsidies, Stimuluses, etc... the list goes on.
       
       All failures of policy, implimented with the desire to collapse our system and re-structure it in thier own image.
       
       All they have to do is get that Pesky U.S.Constitution out of the way... and it is on, America will be dead. And they are well under-way on the push to tear up the U.S. Constitution, or nullify it completely.
       
       America is and always has been a Center Right country... not a European Socialist Style Govt... and the Marxist commie lovin anti-American in the White House will not survive 2012, and niether will many Progressives or Socialist Democrats.
