I am not going to claim that I am an expert on Google Adsense, but I have been on Google Adsense for 7 years and have made some decent money. I am also writing a hub on this subject and will announce when it is available.
First of all, my advice to all of you hoping to make money on Google Adsense is to use their Adsense for Search program more than the actual ads where people click the hyperlinks. The reason I say this is because people do not click on ads. They ignore them.
People always need to search on big websites. I am sure you all search for topics on Hubpages. Searches are powerful and 75% of my Google Adsense revenue is from Adsense for Search. I make very little money on the actual Google ads and I plaster my Google Adsense code on all 7 of my websites.
However, I am sure that most of you know that Google Adsense is the flip side of Google Adwords. The Google Adwords advertisers pay Google for the money that Google pays you, so in essence, you get paid from the Google Adwords advertisers with Google being the middleman. In other words, Google is the agent and it takes its cut.
With that said, let me add that Google Adwords sales are down, because of the economy. People are not paying Google like they used to for Adwords. That is why Google cut the Adsense payments down.
Still, my advice to everyone is to use Google Adsense For Search. Although, you cannot do this on Hubpages, I am sure you all have websites and blogs. Let people search that way. You WILL make better money.

Make no such announcement. There is no self promotion in HP's forums.
Untrue.
I am happy for you.
That's what I gathered from Google Adsense, since it states that it is ad revenue sharing program.
And, you can back this with something more than your words?
Actually, a Google Search feature was suggested to Staff a while back. However, we haven't heard anything about it since then.
Sorry, I didn't know that making an announcement without a link is still promotion, but what am thin line.
If HP can make Adsense for Search available, it would be better for all of us, including HPs ad sharing model.
Cross your fingers.
How does it work? Is it a separate program requiring separate sign-up, or can any Adsense participant just go to their Adsense account to activate it (if they have a blog or site where they can use it)?
Aficionada, all Google Adsense money making methods are under the same login. You simply access your Adsense account and you have access to the HTML for Adsense for Content (the keyword ads that look like banners), Adsense for Search, Adsense For Mobile Content. Also, if you use RSS Feeds like me, there is AdSense for Feeds.
Lots of ways to make money on Google Adsense, folks!
Bruce
I am failing to see why you titled this thread "There is a good reason why google adsense tightened its payments". Are you suggesting what you are doing is a rip-off or something?
No, IzzyM. People are complaining lately that they are making less money on Google Adsense in the past weeks and I am just explaining why Google is paying less.

It seems Google is chasing money making sites by banning their adsense account. So I have decided to ban myself from Google adsense before they do it on me What do you think ?I will only do it on my makemoneyonline account not for the others. If your hub is not talking only about money it should be...

...guess what? It seems that unless I'm missing something, you now need to have an AdWords account to get the keyword tool to show the estimated average CPC for a keyword/phrase. If you don't have an AdWords account, you can *sort* by CPC, but you can't actually view the CPC column any...

I just got an email from Google saying they have held $244 from June. All I can see is that there are 16 "Crawler Errors," whatever that means.

Just after being moved from Squidoo, I tried to apply for an AdSense account, which failed for this reason:"Insufficient content: To be approved for AdSense and show relevant ads on your site, your pages need to have enough text on them for our specialists to review and for our crawler to be...
