Well for one...you've only been active 63 minutes. Secondly, 68 words is not considered a hub. I would suggest actually writing an entire Hub before you concern yourself with learning how to draw traffic to it.

You have put 2 hubs up in 61 minutes after joining HP. I think you might be expecting too much too soon. But, as I'm sure is your intent, perhaps you will lure a few over with this thread on the forums.

You want long term readers, write good content with relevant keywords and traffic will come via search engines.  You want local traffic from HP writers, then participate in the forums, be genuine, don't try sneaky or spammy tactics to get people to show up, and, if you come off as interesting and genuine, people of like minds will be curious to see what you write. smile

Good luck and welcome to HP.

      You joined an hour ago?

OK so you joined, wrote about 10 words, none of which seems to be in correct English.
Your on-page optimization is way off mark as your urls do not match your titles.

Are you even 18 years old? That is the minimum age to join HP.

No offence but I am about to flag your hubs as substandard.

Laughs nervously.  But if it gets Paul to read my barbecue hub - I'm cool with that.

Try titling a forum post - Does Paul really know anything?  That might do it.

I'm not quite ready to go there yet Motown.  Do you know I haven't been banned from the forums yet?

Good, good.  I'm with you.  I don't like being banned from anything.  Why the heck do you think I'm always so darn nice? smile

Also, you're pretty sincere in here.  You're rarely nasty to anyone, and you don't seem to ever say anything that would remotedly be bannable.  smile

Thanks Motown, I try not to get too caught up or involved.  It's when one simply must be right that the trouble starts.

      Welcome!
I went to your hubs to see what you were on about. You have been here for less than an hour and have written two very short blog posts. I don't want to discourage you, but there are some things you need to know about writing on HubPages before you will begin to attract any real traffic.
It takes a while, and some good content, to get noticed here. You need to spend some time reading about what makes a good hub, and visit the learning center, as Cagsil suggested. As well, you need to read other hubs (articles) and leave comments that add value - not just "cool hub" big_smile
This is a site for writers, not bloggers. There is a BIG difference in what is expected, including length and content. To start with, you should aim for at least 400 words, unless you are writing poetry hubs.
Your initial tidbits, though colorful and trendy, are not written in good English, and would probably do better posted on a social networking site.
Read lots, learn lots, and be patient - and again, welcome to HubPages. There are lots of friendly folk here who would be happy to give you a helping hand if you are willing to "learn the ropes." big_smilebig_smilebig_smile

you have been here for 61 minutes, stats are updated on an hourly basis so no, no one is going to show as reading your page!
I suggest that you read the large number of hubs available on Search engine optimisation and keyword research, this helps the search engines pick your work up, also backlinking to other sites can help- again there are lots of hubs about this.

Guys, 68 words is probably fine(for an sms) because most of it was written in text speak and your average text message isn't over 50 words lol
We must all sound terribly inviting to the poor girl roll

Great idea for a site! How do I add more? I didn't see a join button.

Also I was itching to edit your opening intro...sorry about that, but I was, but no doubt you will correct it yourself. First impressions count, make them as perfect as you can.

There might be a good reason why both hubs you published were not read. There isn't much to them.

Which tells me you haven't a clue on what you're doing to begin with. Please visit the Learning Center. The link is below.

Specifically, learn "What is a Hub?" before you create another. Secondly, I flagged both your hubs as low quality and not having enough content. People could read your hub and never register as a view, because you didn't write enough content to keep them on the page.
