I accidentally found a portion of one of my articles on this site (inform dot com). The portion was copied (probably 20% of the full article or less), and at the bottom there was a link that led back to my actual article. But the link does not show up in Yahoo's siteexplorer. How does one go about checking to see whether a link is dofollow or nofollow?
Also, what is the purpose of the "inform..." site? What benefit does the site owner receive, if its purpose is just to lead readers to articles on other sites?
Any explanations? I didn't browse through the site because I was busy with other things. Is it like an article directory?
I wish I could return a favour, but unfortunately I can only contribute this little bump.
I found one of my hubs on there the other day when I Googled it, but I don't know anything about it, either...sorry.
Thanks, earnest, Tam, Izzy! I'll just keep my eyes peeled on the site and see if anything else happens with it.
Good evening, good night, g'day!

Every article on every niche site links back to the HubPages domain via our profile links. That's right, each and every niche site has hundreds of links to a website that Google hates. There is no way this is a good thing. Shouldn't something be done about that?

I wrote an article and put a link to one of my other articles which is on a niche site. So, it's a link from Hubpages to a niche site. Now many are saying Hubpages looks bad to Google. Is this link going to be considered a "bad" one and affect rank in the search engine?
